Parakeet on our bird feeder

There was a pair spotted on a foreshore in S Wales a few weeks back. 

I don't think it will be long, perhaps 10 years, before they are widespread throughout the whole of the UK. 

Quite strange that as an invasive species they have a lot more protection on the GL than other native birds. They should be taken as/when seen in the same way grey squirrels are.

No good looking for common sense, there isn't any?

I first saw these in the very early 1970's in SE London. Apparently, they had escaped from a damaged aviary in Chislehurst,,,, according to a very knowledgeable neighbour 🤷‍♂️

Did hear their squawking on a fishing trip to the Bridgnorth area a few years ago 🤔
