That is so wrong, the toast should not be on the plate, it will go all soggy, needs to be buttered then placed on a separate hot plate, the eggs should go on the plate first and pushed to one side then the beans.

Think of it like the pigeon photos that are put on here of a Norfolk heap or laid out PC style.

Your beans on toast is a bit of a Norfolk heap. :)

tecknikally that meal was born in a supernova.....but just hant matured

just think all them 100's of billions of years ago at the big bang ...little clumps of atoms formed and who would know that so far into the future they would become a mess of potage or bakebeans on toast topped with irradeated egg

life is wonderful and interesting

(and a total and utter ******* waste)..

But wouldn't that be then ''Beans beside toast'' rather than beans ''on'' toast..?

For me I cut the toast into triangles and arrange around the plate then spoon the beans on! A grating of cheddar or sometimes a pinch of curry powder when heating for curried beans. Branston are way better than Heinz IMO although I mostly use Batchelors.

As for Harry's photo, the toast laid side by side would tidy things up, rather than one piece on top of another.🙂

...... and the scrambled egg is way overcooked.

It should be creamy and only just set.

Not one of your neatest meals Harry , when I first saw it I thought you had put a load of pop corns on top of a heap of beans , then out of the corner of my good eye I could see a couple of bits of toast , still as long as you enjoyed it then it's all that mattered .:good:

Where would Friday nights be without Harrys super dishes ? , keep on a posting boi.:drinks:

I cut my toast into strips about 1” wide on the side plate then transfer to the main plate and cut into 1” squares, the toast should still have crunch, not soggy.

Agreed, Branston beans are much better than Heinz, if you like to spice it up a bit try adding a few splashes of Worcestershire sauce to the beans or serve them with sweet pickled onions.

One thing about Harry is he take it all in good heart and the food section would be a poorer place without him showing us what he have ( knocked up ) in his kitchen , mine you at 21 stone he need to cut back on the ole fried stuff
