Dougy
I'm now thinking "how much do I need the money" ? Its becoming less and less each week. Not the money but the need for it.

If there had of been a consultation prior to it I could have rejected it - and that would have set that ball rolling for that. As it was they just walked all over my rights
shaun4860
I think you have answered your own question. New company doesn’t seem to value the current employees. The time limit to bring a claim for constructive unfair dismissal expires three months less one day from the last date of employment. An employee must apply for ACAS Early Conciliation before the time limit expires. Good luck

I used to earn very good money, but the stress factor was immense, my doctor advised me that it was damaging my health, i quit my job, work for a huge amount less, have great boss's the job is technical enough to keep me interested, but it doesn't stress me out (well a tiny bit at times but not adrenaline inducing stress like i used to have) and i think i have a good work/life balance. Out of interest, what was your old job and what’s your new job? Stress can be a real killer!

Principle DBA - but was also filled as a solution architect within that area (physical and azure) - run it all myself for 5 years.....in a very obstructive environment to be honest - you would know the name - used to do hampers but now do other vouchers etc - I will miss my 10% discount but realistically it was only Iceland, food warehouse and argos New one is Senior DBA - running a team of 5 (so that may be stressfull!!!) for a courier company

I was a High Court Enforcement Officer there were no set working hours, in the years i did it i was stabbed, hit over the back of the head with a brick, had a car run at me and carry me down the road on the bonnet, a shotgun pointed at me, and various people attacking me., before all that i was in the military for a long time, my Doctor told me that i had basically been working in a stressful enviroment for 33 years , and it was going to kill me, i knew he was right. I now work in an office (or from home) checking LEV Engineering reports and the associated calculations. The company seems to think it's complicated i think it's easy lol, so happy days. I received no consultation prior to being called into an online meeting at which point I was handed over to a new manager from the company that bought us out and the move was with immediate effect Seek Professional advice, record everything said or sent between you, the chances are the new folk have read your contract carefully, but they could also just be doing a reshuffle to see who jumps. Pretty sure you can't have your wage reduced, but this is where the Professional advice comes in, only you know if its worth the months of hassle it will take. Not my wage - but on-call and overtime can be cut.....And considering that we had one measly pay rise in 4 years... that is needed - not personally wanted - but needed As of yet I have heard nothing since handing them my letter....Currently chasing HR

Unlimited unpaid 'on call' overtime. Constant stress and managing other people. Did this for the last ten years until I could not cope with the pressure any more. I now work for the local council for £23,250 per year. Monday to Friday, no oncall and can choose if I want overtime or not. I have no pressure or stress. SWMBO and other family have commented that I am now the happy outgoing person that I used to be. Take my advice take a position that genuinely makes you happy over the need to make lots of money. Good luck with your choice EHHMMM, think you got that wrong, " Now work for the local Council " no one works for the council, they are just employed by them. 😆

Te easiest ‘ job’ I have ever had by some miles. Some of the lads who have been with them for them for years think they have got the hardest job in the world. I haven’t met two the lads as they have been off sick due to stress. I’m covering one the guys and it is totally stress free. Working outside, meeting the public with unbelievably long breaks. The worst thing for me as a former manager is seeing the total ineptitude of the people in charge of the service. But heyho I think we all know that anyway😉

Hedgemonkey
It depends how much you love the job. Are you emotionally invested, do you have a passion for it, does it reward you or give you a sense of achievement?
