Duckandswing
Just been pottering in the garage (as is my want when I have five minutes peace) and it got me thinking. What is the most useful tool I own? Obviously this is somewhat dependent on what I’m doing i.e. wood working, metal work, plumbing etc. Universally though I think it’s my vices. I seem to turn to these all the time. A spare pair of hands, straightening out metal etc. So do you guys have anything that is an absolute god send? stu64
Just lately it seems to be my battery chainsaw. Binned my 30 year old mcculloch 2 years ago after it played up AGAIN, bought a ryobi and haven't looked back.

Gordon R
Electric finger sander. Don't know how I managed before I got one. Great on wood or metal.

Is that the same type as the one Team Tractor uses on his fingers?
badfishman
Multi tool, one of those things that I never thought I would use but find myself using it every day.
Gordon R
amateur - not sure what Team Tractor uses on his fingers. 🙂 Another gem is my 1/4" drive SK (USA) finger ratchet. Had it about 25 years and still as new.
oldypigeonpopper
hello, i never use these now but when i did a lot of car body work with a mig welder back in the 1980s i have a lovely sheet metal cutter with 3 inch cutters that you put in the vice jaws, they must be at least 50 years old and good old english made,
