Those PRAWNS look lovely 👍😆

the trick is (as you know) is to put the prawns in when the dish is cooked and heat turned off ..and leave for 3-4 mins....then they dont go tough ...but swell up and are nice and tender and juicy

Further to the Great Rice debate.

I use either Lidl or Aldi microwave rice, quick, easy and no waste.

At 45p a pouch it's a no brainer.

Billy why are you wasting so much time and money?

thank you .........some of the micro rice is grossly over priced............in some stores you you will pay £1.80/pkt....get it online in a box of 12 and you will pay less than a £1.00/pkt....

Not paying that much and I only ever buy 6 pouches at a time.

Rice is easy, twice the amount of water by weight plus 10ml.

So 75g rice, 150ml+10ml

100g rice, 210ml water.

Add rice, water and salt to taste to a pot with a lid, bring to boil for 1min, switch off cooker, stir once and leave for 20min.

Out comes properly cooked, fluffy rice for less than 20p per portion including electric costs.
