I bought some pieces of steak Sunday so I thought I would do a bit of Rump tonight , to keep it company I had some triple cooked chips that were reduced in M+ S , some button mushrooms , extra large Prawns, seafood sauce and some rice with a spot of salad from Japan , all in all it was nice but I had to imagine what some of it tasted like as I still can't taste a lot of food , but never mind there are a lot of people worse off than me .

Looks top notch that does use to like a bit of surf & turf  in mi younger days with pepper sauce.  Given me an idea you have

We used to have Surf and Turf from Zaks ( Yankee Traveler ) that was a burger with all the trimmings and a large slice of b b q belly pork , very nice but far to much for one person to eat .😛

Holey schmoley MM, that looks like a prawn starter and a steak, chips and mushroom dinner,,,, all on the same plate 😲😀 Those chips are lovely aren't they ?! 😋

I thought you would like the chips , some of the best I have had , they should had been a side dish on Valentines day from M + S , they were half price the next day at £2 something , worth that but four pound something would had been a bit pricey , MM

I'm guessing they are the same (or very similar) as the McCain (frozen) 'Gastro' chips - which are also lovely, but expensive.

I must admit I am eating better now but that might be down to feeling a bit better this year and possibly cooking the food better , I am also showing the first signs for months in putting a little weight on instead of constantly losing weight , I was 38 waist for most of my married life with doing a fair bit of manual work , I then dropped to 36 and I can get a 34 waist on alright but I recon I am now 35 w , slightly to big for 36 and 34 is a fraction to tight , still as long as I feel alright I am no longer concerned about my weight ,overall I do eat and live fairly well .   MM

Judging by what you post, you do eat well.  A 'balanced' food intake is good, and you seem to have that with a wide range of veggies, both root and green, meats, fish etc.

When I first lost my wife I had never been in the position where I had to get my own food , we went out every Sunday and she never scrimped on buying food and we lived well , then overnight I not only had to buy my own food and then learn how to cook it , I was still grieving a lot and a bite to eat here and there was enough for me but after doing that for five months I had to go to the doctors to try and sort out the pains I was getting , after a while my health started to improve after a few setbacks and now even though I think of my wife every day I have now come to terms with it and now getting as much out of life as I can , I don't smoke or drink , get plenty of exercise and eat as well as I can .  :good:

one of lifes survivors.....god knows how youngens would survive on their own without DELIVEROO KFC FISH&CHIP SHOPS.TAKE-A-WAYS.....they cant even boil water

We have seen them sitting in Mc Donald's car park eating the take a ways and then open the car door and put the cartons under the motor when the rubbish bin is only a arms length away , so what would the bedrooms be like if there mum wasn't there to clean the room up :hmm:

Looks nice or local Harvester pub would call that Surf & Turf

We have got a Harvester Pub a few miles down the road but I have never been in it , I have had a Surf and Turf meal but it didn't have steak , the one we used to have had a nice long meaty bit of belly pork with a big beef burger and a big heap of salad , and for afters I had a Brownie with ice cream , all of it was very filling and nice to go with it .  :good:
