Rewulf Posted Wednesday at 21:43 Report Share Posted Wednesday at 21:43 Well, for the first time in my life, I've been hacked, the root cause seems to be the Id mobile app. First off yesterday I got an email saying I requested a PAC code, which I hadn't, I went into the app to see what was happening, and couldn't get in, the password had been changed, I went back and the email had disappeared! 2 more emails appeared and both were deleted within seconds, the a confirmation text, saying I was leaving, and I owed the £440 for early termination, after much trying I got into a chatbox conversation with ID customer services, she said ID had sent NO texts or emails and it was a phishing scam, and to ignore them..... This morning I got another text and disappearing email saying my number had been successfully ported over to my new contract. After much anguish I managed to get someone on the phone, who told me the texts and emails WERE from them, and clearly the app and my email were compromised, HOW? He said they would TRY to retrieve my number that I've had for 25 years, and I run my business through. My phone lost all services except WiFi an hour later, later on I noticed they had tried to buy a phone off ebay (350), several transactions at a petrol station in Enfield (£300) and God knows what else, I can't even contact my card providers to cancel them because they use text authentication! What a mess, I'm fuming.

Owned by Curry's, uses the 3 network , up until 3 days ago, I was very happy with them 🤣 I was with EE/tmobile fir 20 years, until 14 months ago, but a terrible customer services experience made me leave them. I think i will be going back though....

Interesting, I see iD Mobile is a trading name of Currys Group Limited. Edited Thursday at 09:59 by old'un
