7daysinaweek Posted Friday at 14:33 Report Share Posted Friday at 14:33 The chips look like 'perfection' in my eyes. Dimensions and colour are perfect! Ditchy, may I ask is your preferred cooking medium....... Lard or veg oil? The accompanying Branston beans will go down a treat. Thank the lord for Hester Blumenthal, the creator of the triple cooked chip.
TIGHTCHOKE Posted Friday at 14:35 Report Share Posted Friday at 14:35 With regard to the mandatory ship colour check, the chips in the first two pictures are an extremely good colour. But those in picture three are not as good. Is it a simple as using flash in some of the pictures? The piece of fish does have a lovely colour too. The meatballs in a tomato based sauce with a mix of chopped peppers, chillies, onions and frozen mixed veggies. The strange looking heap on the right is bubble and squeak. JKD Posted Friday at 19:45 Report Share Posted Friday at 19:45 Looks lovely Mr ditchman 😋 A tad excessive with the chips, but that's my sort of 'easy dinner' 😁

Chips in clean lard, beautiful. Reminiscing back as a child, I can still see and smell our lard chip pan. Burnt on the ouside of the pan from the chip fat fires and that acrid smell. Oil was something you put in the car and salt and peppered beef dripping on toast or fresh homemade bread was a Monday teatime treat, with the brown beef jelly under the creamy fat being particularly fought over. Clogged arteries? Pah! Father and Mother both lasted 'til their 90s and both Grandmas into their late 80s.
