Cranfield
Almost the perfect crime.....everybody believes he didn't know his wife was there and was really trying to make a hole in the wall (no, no, it was two holes) for a satellite cable.......................niiiiiiice. I suppose its better to be found guilty of being a fool, than a murderer. pin
Right, so he's inside the house (American so made out of wood and 'drywall') and wants to make a hole for a cable. He thinks this is fine because his wife is inside the house, what about anyone else outside? I mean ***, the mentality of someone who would do that without making sure what's on the other side! Never mind it being his wife.
bob300w
Touch of journalistic license there methinks, a 22?, assuming that it was a rimfire, what the **** was his house made of, that a 40g lead bullet would go through an ouside house wall and have enough energy left to kill someone? Not double brick and cavity that's for sure. I think that Cranfield has it nailed. It may even make the darwin awards!
pin
Most yank houses are wood framed are they not, not much brick.
Mungler
I think the gentleman in question probably lived in a trailer.
pin
If he lived in a trailer he'd have been able to simply look behind him to see if his wife was there - would he not?
Mungler
You are not taking into account the effect the wall mounted banjos would have had on the bullet.

bob300w
Photograph of what is presumably the house/trailer in question here. "The Deepwater, Missouri man apparently wanted to punch a hole in the wall to run some wires. When drilling didn't work, he used bullets". How can drilling not work, on something so lightly built? Anyway, we are at least all agreed that the man is a ****, yes? "lol. lets just say its a good thing he aint like most of the other rednecks and owns a 357 revolver. reckon that may make an appearence when plumbing in his next toilet lol" Edited March 27, 2008 by bob300w

bob300w
Have you read the comments by readers lower down the page? Some of them are priceles, including this one; "Here honey can you stand on the other side of the wall and let me know when the bullet comes through?" And from a woman for whom this appears to be the norm; "My husband accidentally shot **** throught the outside wall of our house last weekend. He was cleaning the handgun and checked for bullets while pulling the trigger. Shot **** clean through our bedroom wall and outside. Thankfully, no one reported any neighbors needing medical attention! " Edited March 27, 2008 by bob300w

Markio
"....after earlier attempts to make a hole in the wall had failed". If he didn't have a drill then i'm keen to find out what he used in his earlier attempts... A butter knife? His ****? Mungler, if that house is a trailer then sign me up to the Caravan Club, my mortgage worries are over!!!

The worse thing is that he didn't manage to remove himself from the gene pool but instead removed his wife.
