HHHMMMM,

Thread started a week ago, 9 pages, and rather than trying to get some answers from the Police you find the time to post on here.

Your balls don't ache by any chance?

HHHMMMM again, Monday was yesterday, are you going to tell us what the BASC said when/if you 'phoned them?

I've got a black and gold Glock blank-firing pistol that you can borrow till you get your guns back

I'm just off to do my next shift at the abbatoir. I'll post it off to you when I regain consciousness

I still have some armour piercing BB's left over as well that would go nicely with that Glock.

I have a plastic flick knife and soldier fancy dress outfit to complete the picture.

Or rather I did have a plastic flick knife but I got stopped whilst driving my car around tesco's and the police took it from me.

I was going to phone the BASc but then I remebered i had to water the garden plants instead.

After that I was tired so I went and hung out with my mates outside the "OFFY"

Don't be silly, a pop gun in the wrong hands can do some real damage. And I hear on the grapevine that this dude shoots under 1" groups at 350yards.

I reckon we are messing with the wrong guy here. He must be a special forces sniper with accuracy like that. Oh no hold on, I doubt even they could do that.

In fact I doubt a bolted down rifle with no movement what so ever could do that.

Tinbum is really gonna post now that everyone thinks he's Yorkshirelad.

If Im right Yorkshire lad didnt have a SGC, so unless tinbum is putting misleading information why dont you phone the police up and grass him in?

Tinbum dont listen you dont have to post the end result, but it will be interesting to find out whats happening.

What is it with people jumping to conclusions? We supposed to help eachother out and your making tinbum outcast.

Sort it

DF,

Could you honestly sit back and find the time to keep posting on here if the police had been round and taken your guns? Would you not be doing everything you can to get them back?

Tinbum was given excellent advice about speaking to BASC or SACS but he chose not to take any notice. I would be getting everyone I could involved in the return of my guns if they had been confiscated for something I didn't do.

If this house has been shot at, presumably there is evidence. There must be bullet holes or shot marks. The police would surely be doing forensic and ballistic tests on all of this and the FEO would know what was going on.

He didn't even phone his FEO for several days. Using an excuse about being traumatised or something similar.

This doesn't sit right in my eyes and I cannot believe that this is going on.

Why shouold I phone the police? I would sound like a right nutter, telling them that someone is posting rubbish on the internet. Christ on a bike, you would need to narrow it down a bit.

I am very suprised as well that anyone goes shooting without being a member of a shooting organisation. I was a member of BASC before I had a gun.

You are quite right he doesn't have to post the end result, why should he? he has got his 10 pages.

I have myself am very nervous when phoning people even if they are friends and family. I sometimes mix my words up and it comes out wrong.

Tinbum has said in previous post he has just joined BASC and he said he will phone them up asap.

Since then I think he has not replied since, so why cant people just have some patience and wait before assuming he is yorkshirelad?

Martincavie. it is very easy to shoot a rifle consistently and to group bullets in a 1" group providing your poa stays the same you will hit your target, if your rifle can hit a 1" group at 100 yards why not 200 300 or in both mine and gary's case 350, a British army sniper has to hit a torso at 700 yards or he goes home. i am sure if you have a good rifle set up, are confidant with that rifle, can hold it steady and keep your poa you to can group 1" at 300 plus yards. if you wish you are welcome to come along to our range and i will show you how its done. or we could all get together for a shooting match with .223 in the mids somewhere and see how many other forum members can shoot accurate at long range, I think many shooters can get tight groups, seeing is believing. didn't know you already shoot that good, or better by the looks of things, just pointing out its possible but you know that already so cant work out your comment even a bolted down rifle wont do that.

MC is making a number of valid points here.

Let's face it, this is going to end in one of 2 ways:

1. He gets a summons in the post.

2. He gets a letter of apology from the Chief Constable in the post, guns are returned, end of story.

Cat.

I can't see much point bragging to Martin about 'long-range' shooting with a .223, when he shoots 7.62x51mm at 1000 yards through open sights, at a County-level standard.....

Then he knows its possible. and that is good shooting on his side good man,
