Tony9r
Was out the other night with my lad shootig rabbits, and he always picks up the dead one's to put in the back of the buggy If there's the occation when the rabbit is still quite "active" after being shot, then I'll get out and finish i with my priest/hand. That night we had a wriggler, and I decided it was time for my lad to have a go at finishing it himself to which he agreed. Just before grabbing the back leg's, he asked if it would bite him - I said no, as I've never experienced or heard of it myself, which made me wonder if it is possible for mr bunny to get his own back Has anybody ever been bitten by a rather p****d off, shot rabbit before? alexm
Yes! Like most rodents their teeth are their most formidable weapon. If they think you are a threat and you have them cornered they will sink their teeth into you if they can!

henry d
I know of 2 guys who have 60yrs + of ferreting experience between them and both have been bitten by ferrets and rabbits, both say the rabbit bites worse. A rabbit has teeth that can strip bark off a tree so I hope I never get to know the experience.
Imperfection
I must admit that to being bitten several times by pet rabbits amongst other rodents when i was a kid.Damn things always hated me with a passion!!! You soon learn that when you stick food in hutch-keep palm facing downwards and fingers out the way cos theres very little meat for them to nibble on when they leap onto back of your hand! Tony9r
I remember being bit by my sister's pet rabbit some years ago , it also used to spray through the mesh door when you got close to it I'm glad you all cleared that up for me, I'll make sure myself and my lad keep our hands away from the business end in future!
