Billy.
So for all you Beretta owners, (or potential for that matter) Am I the only owner who is furious over the stamped warning that is on full clear view on the barrel: "Warning - read instruction book for safe operation. Book free from Beretta" I asked the gunsmith what it'd cost to have it removed, but they said that it would cost a hell of a lot. Does anyone think this would have been better placed, just like the proofing stamps?
JohnGalway
There for the same reasons a lot of US made rifles come with heavy trigger pulls, they're afraid of legal action against them. Now they get to say "We told you so" if anything happens that shouldn't.
pair away
health and saftey is all around us , its a pitty they think we are so daft we need to be told this , but as you said they can say we told you so and it covers them. ChrisNicholls
That is actually stamped on the barrels of Beretta guns now? Might as well have put, 'Be careful when pulling trigger - you may hurt something' I won't be buying one.
chrispti
I agree, that tiny little bit of print on the barrel that is hardly noticeable is a real pain in the ****

jinxy72
Than dog **** on your shoes?? POW!. so how do u think a removable sticker wouldnt be better than the barrels stamped ? removable sticker would cover the company and ... as the reason of this topic ... be able to be removed by the owner if they choose to!!!!!!!!
MC
No it wouldn't, A removable sticker would be removed and forgotten about. You could then sell your gun on and not put the sticker back on or pass the manual on and this would then leave Beretta wide open for people to say that they should have put a warning on the gun. I have the same warning on my beretta semi. It really is no big deal.
POW!
Toung in cheek Jinxy!!! As posted once the label is removed its forgotten about , Once You have trodden in dog dirt it makes you aware next time , sorry if my post was unclear , Maybe I miss read the warning or was it the Baretta thing , ?? [ being Dyslexic does not help , but I try to read it through , ] You think this is bad , the legislation at the estate for next year , is making us wonder if it is worth letting anyone on the place , . a2oth
So for all you Beretta owners, (or potential for that matter) Am I the only owner who is furious over the stamped warning that is on full clear view on the barrel:"Warning - read instruction book for safe operation. Book free from Beretta" I asked the gunsmith what it'd cost to have it removed, but they said that it would cost a hell of a lot. Does anyone think this would have been better placed, just like the proofing stamps? I never noticed that before (really worked for me then). Don’t think it will stop me shooting my Gold E though. By the way, just checked my 23 year old Trapper. It says “made in Italyâ€. The morel is, if your really that bothered buy old. There better made anyway. :(
hitfreshairagain
bit off topic guys but my favourite saftey warning was on the side of a packet of peanuts saying...Warning this product may contain nuts..i should bloody hope so it cost me £1.50 ***** Lee
utectok
I know pigeons have good eyes but I don't think they can see what gun I'm holding or the saftey warnings on them. Can't say it bothers me either!
Ozzy Fudd
i saw a guy at the local clay range with beretta painted down the side of his barrels in big white writing. thats more annoying (and pretentious) to me than any small msg stamped on the barrels. no way would i buy one like that Edited January 4, 2009 by babbyc1000
