cheryl
A word of warning... I went to a shoot on Sunday to shoot a 100 birder sporting. I packed 125 cartridges in my bag and so did my partner and I had some loose strays in the bottom of my bag. Whilst going round my bag seemed to all of a sudden get lighter. My partners bag also got lighter and as we always have a joke we both thought that each other had taken each others cartridges. Oh no this wasn't the case someone had helped themselves to 25 cartridges out of each bag . Needless to say that we were very disappointed. As we get back to the car we meet a friend and get chatting and tell him what happened only to find that he had 50 cartridges taken from him alone. Whilst we were shooting at another place at the weekend some one on our squad left their bag and went to shoot the stand only to come back to find that it was gone. Guess where we found it several stands in the direction that we hadn't been in!!! I seem to be hearing of this more and more and would like to warn all that keep an eye on your bags when at shoots cause there are a very, very super small minority of pricks that would stoop so low and I would hate to think of anyone else having anything stolen. The best of it is they only have to ask and I would have given them the cartridges from the car.

Peter De La Mare
That does suck. I've always had the feeling of supreme confidence in fellow guns at whichever ground I'm shooting at. Maybe I'll be a little more careful in future.

RC45
I shot at Felixkirk at the weekend and the four of us left all of our kit in the open office whilst we went to the pub for lunch, when we returned, everything was as it was left. No problems at all. Can't see why anyone would steal carts???

He was either trying to rub the essence of "Cheryl" off your carts, into his gun and onto his score sheet or he was just taking them from you to cuddle upto them at night (with some heavy petting and sniffing etc) - following on, are you missing any items of clothing, a hairbrush, a shoe, a favourite lip stick etc. If so, there's your answer. Seriously though, were you shooting with anyone from Mersey Island with a penchant for bitch mutha cartridges?

I have to say that I didn't shoot with Cat this weekend and even if I did I know that he would never do such a thing so be nice Oh and am I being thick (probably) but would you like to speak english and translate the sentence that starts with "seriously" as I have no idea what it means. I have also heard that someone I know has had their HD spex stolen whilst on a shoot a couple of weeks ago. I have no idea why someone would steal cartridges perhaps if we catch them we can ask them. 99% of shooters would give them some if they only asked. MC
Cheryl, Please let me explain for my learned colleague, He is refering to me, I live in MERSEA which an island just south of colchester. He is also refering to a shoot we had at briantree a couple of years back where I shot the round using cartridges out of his bag just to see how long it would take before he noticed. He didn't and I had to come clean. The Bitch Mutha cartridges are Hull Extreme range sovereign something or other which are a burgundy colour. I do not like them but nearly everyone I shot the Essex Masters with went out and bought a load before hand. The one thing for sure is that there is always someone around who will steal anything even if it is bolted down. But I still reckon it was Catamong, that's the problem with stalkers. You think they aren't there but in reality they are lurking in the bushes. Although you would see his orange glow wouldn't you?
Catamong
Well, Catamong was nowhere near said shooting ground on the date & time in question, he was in fact getting a spray tan on a BOGOF basis at the local tanning salon, in order to keep his "Orange" status. After hearing this, I'll be watching my gear like the proverbial hawk in future, OK, you'd expect this kind of behaviour in Essex, but not in the leafy Shires. Cat. P.S. - Anybody want a cheap deal on a few boxes of Hull Megabombers, no questions asked..............PM our very own MC for details.
MC
Just remember Cat, There is a saying in this part of Essex, "Only thieves lock things up" I rest my case m'lud

starlight32
There was a chap at a local ground who did the same.....'Borrowed' a few cartidges from a fellow shooters bag, as a joke on the same lines, while walking around the stands. Only problem was the handfull of bright silver winchester AA's were in fact reloads with 32g of steel 'T'shot, which the owner intended to pattern on the club plate for foxing use after he had finished his round of clays. End result......A Miroku grade 5 sporter with a ring bulge in the bottom and the choke ripped out of the top barrel. 3/4 & Full and big steel shot just don't mix.. I can only presume the £1500-00 balls up learnt him a lesson in honesty.

starlight32
Classic would have loved to have seen that one! I had the same case with a persistant thief who kept stealing my shower gel when I was working offshore once..... No matter what I did I just could'nt catch the culprit . So in the end I spiked a fresh tub of Lynx with bright green food colouring from the galley mixed with a little dash of epoxy hardener...... A naked guy luminous green with a sex pistols hairstyle running through the accomodation was a sight to be seen........ It took a further three weeks to get rid of the appearance, which I am sure learnt him a lesson in honesty too. Regards
Lez325
I find that totally disgusting - the people responsible are possible SGC-FAC holders who in the eyes of the law are supposed to be forthright and honest people Make you think Les
Mungler
I lived in a student house many moons ago. If it was yours then you would rim it, cough over it, spit in it etc. Taking from another was at your peril. I know the Suffolk boys "pre insert" their cartridges. Yes, these carts have been where the sun doesn't shine. You would have thought they would have been done one at a time, but being from Suffolk it's a 250 slab at a time. Heaven help anyone who has taken from the Suffolk cartridge bag.

Mungler
Was this Upavon Cheryl? Who is this Avon? Sounds like a game lass with a reputation. 3 boxes of catridges? She could get a full time job with a drugs cartell with that kind of capacity.
