Malc
Anyone, know of anywhere that sells cheap shotgun cartridges? I need any amount between 5,000 to 10,000, are there any places that do sell shotgun cartridges by mail order? They should be No6 shot, fibre wad, loaded with 30 or 32 grm. Baldrick
Go for www.justcartridges.com - they always seem to get good press, and they stock some fairly elusive brands like Winchester.
Malc
Thanks Baldrick. I'll have a look. Anyone else got any ideas?
Riothedog
Try the makers them selves. Either Hull Cartridge or Gamebore. RTD
wabbitbosher
Thanks Baldrick. I'll have a look. Anyone else got any ideas? I'd give hull a go (i think its gameborehull now) and its your way you might need an explosives licence for that amount also check these out they are the bigest importers of RIO cartridges (but they are corby Northants) http://www.cci-international.com/english__/aboutcci_.htm All the best WB
old rooster
Anyone else got any ideas? How about us all getting together to see what discount we can get for a serious bulk buy ? I'd be in for a couple of thousand and I know two other shooters locally who'd take the same.

Malc
Yep, great, anymore? And by the way, what does everyone consider a good price per thousand? I'm thinking around the £100 per thou mark inc vat. Is that realistic? Too high/low?
hawkeye
rooster ill be interested in that but i live in north east would that be a problem, Mike
Cranfield
Countryway Gunshop at West Malling in Kent, sell Gamebore Clear Pigeon for £9? (ninety something pounds) per thousand collected. It will be interesting to see what the best price you are offered for 10,000 cartridges, please let us know.
dodeer
Dont be suprised if you dont get much off 10,000. For most gunshops that amount is next to nothing. Dealers only make approx. £8 per 1000 cartridges. Cartridges manufacturers wont sell to joe public unless you want a pallet load e.g. 25,000. A sgc holder can legally have 14,000 12g in their possision or accomodation. justcartridges.com seems to be your best bet.
poppythedog
I bought 10000 from justcartridges.com a few years ago, they were own brand (made by Express) No 8 clay load, perfectly good bangers if pointed in the right direction and £80/1000 I think they do a game load for similar price. MJN
I've found that my local stockists are just as good as the main Internet supplier , only you have to pick them up yourself, if you are a long way away from any stockists then Justcartridges are the best bet for available choice.
