tingthwack Posted August 22, 2009 Author Report Share Posted August 22, 2009 Thanks for the kind comments on the stock, For my day job I run a carbon fibre manufacturing business, Not sure I will be making any more of these though as there are just to many hours of work involved, It was a bit of a labour of love I doubt you would see much change out of £700 for a stock to this spec, Also the shapes of the moulds are tailored to my dimensions and huge shovel like hands. mick miller Posted August 23, 2009 Report Share Posted August 23, 2009 Very nice work indeed, £700 sounds a reasonable price for a crafted, custom piece of stock work, we all get too used to paying nowt for tosh made in China these days which means that those skilled individuals amongst us don't get payed what they ought... but I'll get off my soap box. I have heard though, on the rumour vine, that carbon fibre is the new asbestos, the dust allegedly is every bit as bad so be careful just in case.
