Pieman, I’m glad to hear your good lady is OK.

As for those Muslims taunting the police in Brum….nothing on the TV about it, but then again the socialist state of Birmingham wouldn’t think of showing anything on the news that would make our nice Muslim neighbours look bad would they.

********.

I've been in meetings all day and heard about the bombings at 6.30 at which point my first thought was to ring my mate who lives here (midlands) but travels to London each day to work - fortunatley he is ok.

What really pi$$s me off is that these guys stand in front of a camera taunting us with "rascist", yes it it is racist, religious based bull$hit & we all sit back & accept it.

I'm no racist, i'm Irish by background (Grandfather), have worked with Asians who are still friends - but cannot accept innocent people - Black, White, Yellow or Green, being blown up in the name of religion.

Tony if you want more votes protect my family.

I was on business in central London today - it was pandemonium - I heard on the radio that it was a "Power Surge" on the Underground and shortly afterwards I heard about the bus bombing - I drove past the Isle of Dogs late morning and office workers were literally running along the road to get to wherever they thought was safe..!!

Still, we all knew that it was on the cards, it was only a question of when, this country has become a haven for all sorts of crackpots who would be not be allowed to stay in many other countries.

Its a terrible outrage and our sympathies go out to the families of the bereaved and the injured.

I'm glad Mrs Pieman is OK and I can imagine the fear PP must have been feeling.

It will be days, maybe weeks before the Authorities have a clear idea of what and how it happened and who might be responsible.

During the darkest days of the IRA, I still travelled to Ireland and counted Irish men and women among my best friends ( I still do).

None of us condemned every Irish person for the bombings.

Why then should we condemn every Indian/Arab/Middle Eastern, Asian etc., for todays events.

You can't call them all Muslims, because some of them aren't.

Stories, like the "Asian Muslim youths chanting in the North of Brum", will circulate for days and most will prove to be false.

I am against Illegal Immigration and believe more should be done to prevent it.

Convicted Terrorists that commit murder, should be sentenced to death.

No stone should be unturned in the efforts to catch those responsible.

But, I don't think we should be irrational and unfair, as to where we direct our anger.

They also ask the STUPIDIST questions to victims. like "are you feeling shocked or does the injury you received hurt??B)??"

Idiots.

and how is all the lax of security going to affect the olympic games now.

Thousands MORE foreigners visiting this country and how many with bombs in their carrier bags.

Another sad day for Britain. My sympathy to all concerned except the perpetrators. To the group i hope all your family members and friends have survived the carnage. Too sad to put any smilies on this one.

Lady Pieman went to work in London (as she does every day) this morning and I haven't been able to contact her yet.  I hope she is OK

Hope all is ok.

The mobile phone networks can be put down because the terrorists use mobiles to detonate bombs. Various transmitters are disabled. So anyone trying to use the networks will be unable to contact people. Worrying as it is this can save lives in the long run.

YOU ARE RIGHT Last Engineer. Sorry to all you Englishmen if I seemed insenitive.

When I said "in memory of all the innocent lives lost in NI" Don't forget that included "ALL" Civilians, British solders and Police. A life is life no matter what religion, race gender what ever.

I believe you are also right about rotting in Hell. If you follow such a path then you can't expect a happy here after.

Hope none of you have personal love ones caught up in the bombs.

With respect to all the innocent lives lost in London and b4

Its virtually impossible mate... save the issue of Identity cards and body searches of every commutor... but we wont go down that road..

Terrorism is the scurge of the moden age and is here to stay. The only way to rid ourselves of it is to irradicate it at source, which is what Bush and Blair and other major leaders of the free world have tried to do.

I am afraid that the Arab world is a completely different culture to our own, these people are religiously fanatical and hide behind the Koran. As long as they believe that their quest is a religious one, rewarded by immortality in the other life then they will continue to bomb and mame innocent infidels, which is how they veiw us.

Of course this is only representative of a very small minority of the Arab community and we should guard against Knee Jerk reactions directed at the law abiding, decent civilians of this culture who live among us.
