Lord Geordie
Started out! As a Kid a Italijet 50cc bike for the fields Then a Honda Cub 70cc was an uncles who had enough of it. Then on the road in 1987 with a Honda Express II 49cc scooter Then after 2 years moved on to a Yamaha FS1E 50cc Then scored with a Yamaha RD50 Gave up with bikes for years after that till 1993 and swapped an Airgun for a Suzuki AP50 and for a 50 it was like a greased pig It flipped for fun and made a mess of a friend of mine when the front wheel reared up and he managed to smash all the fairings and bend the bars Then got given a CB250 dream from my uncle who restores bikes for a hobby in Lincolnshire. Loved it to bits till some twonk stole it Had great plans to pass my test and ride it about and spent 9 month restoring it too. Gutted! Bought a cheap Aprilia RS50 what a waste of time AND money piece of italian cr4p Then I passed my DAS test and traveled to Southamptoin to collect a 1986 Kawasaki 400cc ninja. Rode it for just over a year and someone pulled out on a roundabout, Goodbye to that! Got near £2000 between the Bike and injuries. Get a Honda CB500 but couldn't get on with it. Sold it and found a Honda CB350SG needing a resto job. Bought it and stripped it down, Had the frame to the blasters and then powder coated in Metalic Purple was going to go Purple and Yellow. Again great hopes then lost my Job so had to sell Then one night whilst bored on fleabay I spied a Suzuki GSX600F going for a song so watched and sniped the last bid £350 Bike was near pristine I traveled down to Loughbrough to collect it middle of winter to ride it home. I was near froze to death by the time I reached scotch corner lol. Rode that for a few years. Lovely machine. Sold that and stayed with Cars ever since as a promise to my Boy he was scared as a lad died locally after being knocked off. So to cap it all Italijet 50cc Honda cub 70cc Honda Express II 50cc Yamaha FS1E 50cc Yamaha RD50 Suzuki AP50 Honda CB250 superdream Aprilia RS50 Kawasaki GPZ400R Honda CB500 Honda CB350SG Suzuki GSX600F Edited December 8, 2009 by Lord Geordie
jackinbox99
Wow. Theres a lot of bikers on here! I started off with an RD350, then a ZXR750L2 (1994 model) - still got it. Awesome bike ZX6R (1998) Ducati 748SPS (2000) (I bought it when it was 4 weeks old, original owner paid £12k for it) VFR750 (1996) - still got it (selling it if anyone is interested - needs MOT) Yamaha R1 (2001) - still got it and use it now. Im just in the process of giving the R1 a winter rebuild. Fitted a new engine to it last month, now polishing the rims, fitting some new race bodywork to it and a few trick bits ready for the new year.
