I think everyone agrees the country is in a state and needs rebuilding. It’s going to cost money, and this budget could have been a lot worse.

A decent piece of advice I got was to bear in mind that you will probably not need the same spending power in your later years as the first few. I plan on thoroughly enjoying myself in the first years, plenty of travel and shooting etc, but will not plan to do anywhere near as much when I’m 80+.

Yep .. I’m 51 and racking as much into my pension now as I can … 57 is my target but will need things to go my way to allow me to continue to travel/shoot/fish where/as much as I’d like to.

I used to get my sports stuff from his shop in Holbeach back in the day. Not sure how nice he was in real life, but sad to hear of his passing.

My father is slowing down, so a few bits to sell over the coming weeks. This has an ‘aftermarket’ cushion added that will easily come off. The shotgun version, so no gunrest. £150 pick up South Lincs
