Salop Matt
Folks, I have been introduced to this brand which I am told make actions and barrels for Beretta but they decided to also make guns for themselves so basically copied the Beretta 68 series action. The gun felt just like a Beretta in handling etc and seemed a nice fit. How ever I haven't herd of them before and can't find any reviews on them really. Do any of you lot have any experience of these ? At £700-£800 each they sure seem a good buy, but with so little known about them out there it does seem a bit of a plunge into the unknown even if they are half the price of: browning beretta and miroku. So with £1200 - £1500 budget would you take the chance and spend the rest on clays and cartridges or would you stick to new or second hand: Browning, Beretta & Miroku ? johnphilip
I have just got the wife one, two days ago. Wow i have fallen for it myself its amazing. Its very light about 6lbs i tried some 28grams 7s at the clays next to no recoil. It just feels so right the moment you pick it up and mount it.this evening showed my mate and his wife it. Hey they are wanting one two. There does not seem to be a lot of info on the net about them. The main importer is in ireland. We will be having a go at the clays this sunday there will be four of us wanting to try it again. Time will tell how it last, but for now its a nice gun.. Salop Matt
Cheers JP, please can you let me know how you all get on with it ! Also what colour action did you go for ? I like both the silver and the black+gold, although am not sure how hard wearing either is !
webber
I got one of the new SP over and unders into stock yesterday. It's the one with the adjustable comb. It's very well made and a lot of gun for the price of £995. I've deliberately kept the price under £1000, I want to get some of the guns out being shot and let shooters see the gun and the quality that can be obtained. I regret to advise that this price is fixed; I can't offer any goodies to sweeten the deal on this one. I'll list it on Gunwatch when Lez sorts the pictures out. webber
welshwarrior
Matt Glad you liked the ATA I've been using that one as a coaching gun since March and at every club shoot let anyone shoot it, all have liked it and can't believe the value. Like Webber I'm fixed on price but think they offer a lot of gun for the money especially for those that want new and a 2 year manufactures warranty, as a first gun. Morning Daf, yes I did like the gun and it handled very nice. Having looked at even new Browning, Beretta and Miroku as a standard grade 1 the wood is plain to say the least which makes the ATA even more appealing. Is it a case of spares such as chokes and mechanical internals being identical to Beretta or are they ATA specific ? These guns really should be advertised better as am sure so many others would be impressed with them.
johnphilip
I think the beretta chokes fit, that what the gentleman said when i got mine erm the wifes lol.i have a miroku mk 70 a beautiful looking and well made gun. At the end of the days it how the gun shoots and how you feel with it. I have picked up some guns in there thousands and did not like them, yes they were nice to look at. I live for today now 63years old i dont want a gun that will be worth loads of money in 20 years time as i might not be here Its a while since a gun got me excited and the ata arms has, i wish them well.now hope they will sendme a freebee lol
welshwarrior
Choke are beretta Mobil chokes easy to get anywhere lots of internal I'm told are a direct interchange with minimal fitting. Khalid980
Hi everybody, ATA is a very good company . I had one their gas operated gun for almost 15 years with not even a single malfunction.recently bought their inertia driven semiautomatic gun model ata- neo . And absolutely loved it . Beautifully made very reliable , weight less than a benelli shotguns and price three times less £500. I would say buy it with ur eye closed . And their venza model is even nicer. I’ve had one a while now and love it , good fit for me , only hiccup with it is the black finish isn’t the toughest , but for the money I’m not too worried about this and would rather use and enjoy the gun than worry about a few little scratches

sportsbob
ATA are NOT copies of Beretta. The forend mounting lug is not the same and the internals are not the same, the whole trigger and hammer design is totally different. This video shows the differences. rapid .25
I have the sp elegant gold in 12g 30" barrels and the venza semi auto in 12g 26" barrel and I'm very very impressed with everything about them. The sporter is a fabulous clay and game gun and the venza is brilliant in the hide . £1600 for the two, "" what's not to like"".
DUNKS
the video from TGS is an eye opener. I own a Beretta but have never even seen the ATA. I was however convinced from articles I had read that the two guns were in fact identical. How can folk get it so wrong and be so confident about it? Although they share a few similarities cosmetically, they are, quite obviously a different gun altogether. I certainly didn't buy mine thinking I was getting a cheap silver pigeon 😂 I am at the moment, keeping my mates pigeon while he sorts his ticket out, and have used various Berettas in the past, I don't like them. I do like my ATA.
DUNKS
Good on ya mate I was in no way knocking ATA I read that they are a very workmanlike gun at an excellent price. What I object to are folk who have obviously owned neither making stupid comments.
