R1nut
Has anyone had any issues with the above? I leant mine up against a gate last night and they slipped and fell into long grass. The main body at the top split in two. They didn't even hit the ground hard because the grass broke the fall. I'm a bit reluctant to get another set if they are that fragile, bumps are bound to happen in the field. Does anyone know if spares are available? robbiep
Mine are about 2 years old, and are used at least once a week. No problems at all.

R1nut
Maybe I should just put it down to bad luck and get busy with the sticky stuff!!!! Up to now I have been very pleased with them, was very surprised to see how easily they broke from such a light fall!!

R1nut
Home made ones are good I have to admit, but the Primos tripod on uneven ground is a really quick stable platform!! Just comes down to how much people want to spend I think My home made bipod came in at £6!!!!!
mick miller
I honestly don't think it's any better than my quad sticks on uneven ground. But, I appreciate, not everyone has the time, inclination or ability to make their own. Edited August 30, 2016 by mick miller

mick miller
Pictures of what? Home-made quad sticks? There's got to be tens of them in the DIY threads. Four canes, two bolts, a handful of washers, some ingenuity and a length of string.
maxwell
I used home made sticks for years to good effect but since buying a primos tri-pod I wouldn't go back to DIY, the trigger stick is so convenient no matter what ground you are on
R1nut
I agree with the above!!
mick miller
But I've dropped mine onto concrete several times and they still work
Walker570
Single straight nut stick works fine for me. Had a set of those metal thingies and they do more clinking and clonking against stuff AND cost money I could spend on ammunition.

R1nut
I contacted Primos through the web site just to ask if they could give me a list of spare part suppliers in the UK. Within 3 days I had a response asking what the problem was, so I told them which bit had broken. They then replied saying if I sent them back they would either sort them or replace!!!! Now that's customer service for you!!! I didn't expect that at all.
