  1. I like cats and dogs - contraversial i know... I agree with the neutering though - it's standard practice for most rescue centres in this country. I think in some cases it should be a case for humans too as the population explosion probably does more damage to animals in general than a few cats could...
  2. Extreme approaches don't work for the majority of people as it's very difficult to stick to! Losing weight is easy if you're prepared to work at it - that's the key factor. Fad diets and the rest are a crock to extract money from the lazy who think there is an easy solution to the problem! Key things are to eat little and often (to speed up your metabolism) cut out fat and not eat carbs in the evening. You need carbs for energy during the day not for sitting on the sofa! The other key thing is cardio exercise. I have recently lost a reasonable amount of fat sticking to these basics, the discipline in eating better (more often) and the cardio have been fairly tough but easily achievable for someone with will power.
  3. Are you using internet explorer and is it the latest version? We have and old version at work and hotmail seems to experience all sorts of issues when i use IE, works fine on Chrome!
  4. I thought that based on peoples opinions in this thread i'd give the kit a go - got loads of normal plastic decoys already... and the postage is 6.95 for the kit!! I think that's a massive rip off and as such will not be making a purchase! You can get 12 flocked decoys on ebay for about £30 so for the amount of time it would take to do 12 it's not worth saving a tenner!!
  5. In Essex my renewal form came through (this month) with some paper attached to it stating that the rules in relation to the counter signature have changed. Now it just needs to be someone you have known for the stated amount of time who is not a policeman. I've previously asked teacher friends to do it but now it seems i can ask anyone of they've know me long enough.
  6. Is that just an ebaty 'case' - did you pay using paypal - i think you have longer to open a dispute with them?
  7. I think the main point here is that the film was on channel 4 not ITV...
  8. I guess that;s a key point above - if you want to listen to specific artists/albums that you specify then it's more tricky than just listening to music in general! There are so many internet radio stations now that you should be able to find something that fits your tastes perfectly!
  9. Initially i thought that said scrotums...
  10. Can we have the auction webiste on general display for the rest of us? Sounds intriguing but think it will get annoying pm'ing to all...
  11. Based on the fact a number of people on here shoot game and also becuase of some peoples opinions on decriminalising drugs/usage of red diesel (oh yes i went there) maybe we should call it 'Cock Watch'
  12. Are you loading from a dvd or usb? I had issues doing it via usb because the tool i used to load it onto the USB (from microsoft) needed a patch added to properly load the 64 bit version.
  13. I've ripped this off hotukdeals as someone on there has gone to the trouble of listing what they feel is good value: All bottles 70cl unless otherwise stated. 14. From someone doing it illegally? I'm not talking about a legit company offering a discount,,, Note the non-legal bit in my post - if you still stand by your comment then I don't believe anyone on here would do that, unless they're very silly...
  15. Oh ok, that's fine then, makes total sense to me know...
  16. Would it be a good idea to buy shot gun cartridges (or bullets) from a non-legal third party because they're cheaper?? This whole thread is another example of people screwing the system (and themselves/the rest of us) for a short term saving. Why buy white diesel when i can get red much cheaper, why go to work when i can get benefits to stay at home. The people who do this are just as bad as the benefit scroungers that so many have strong opinions on. To my mind anyone partaking or endorsing this kind of behaviour are as guilty for the state of this country and the ecconomy as all the other wasters and scroungers. It may not be on the same scale as other fraud but that doesn't make it anymore acceptable.
  17. The intolerance of some people is quite astounding. Surely it's down to personal choice - people are entitled to their opinion but it is exactly that.an opinion where as some seem to word things like it's a statement of fact...
  18. I think artists are often after stuff like this to use for drawings etc. Someone my Dad knows loves drawing skulls and cannot get enough of random animal/bird one's that we occasionally find on the farm we shoot at! Maybe we should start selling them on eBay...

    Breeks

The gf says I look 'cute' in my tweed - her way of saying 'you look like a ****' me thinks! My Mum asked me if my Dad and I could avoid standing round outside their house with our silly trousers on... Seems if you're not part of the shooting community tweed and breeks in general are a source of entertainment! They are expensive, in my opinion, but then that is probably because primark or next don't make any! eBay can be a good source of end of line clearance type stuff. I bought some musto technical stuff from John Norris earlier in the year, it was still quite a lot but was less than half of it's normally extortionate price. However the weight and quality of the items has impressed me a lot.
  20. Yeah mine looks like the one above but is older, think mine is a H368 euro lion or something like that. The wood on mine looks amazing but i think it's the surgically enhanced type stuff rather then genuine. Like i said minimal issues when i first got it, took it straight to clays and ran some 24g's through it, maybe i should just give it a good clean and see if it returns to it's former glory!
  21. I think it's interesting that a fair number of these 'sightings' happen at night when people are probably very sleepy (or actually alseep). I have to admit that i'm a massive sceptic but have enjoyed reading this thread. Shall we settle it for once and for all by going and seeing this jilted bride on 18th July next year?? If she turns up we can put a picture on here and then get ourselves sectioned... The fact that she is there every year would make me think that most of the country would be there to witness it...
  22. I bought myself a Fabarm left handed semi auto as there is a limited choice for us lefties and i didn't want to spend benelli money (it was about £350 second hand from a dealer who'd had it for a while - not sure if that's a good sign though!!). I had no issues with it when i got it from the shop but sometimes it can be a bit selective when ejecting, i think that's probably more dure to the fact it needs a proper clean than anything else. There are cheaper options out there but whether they are a good i don't know - have never shot another auto (other than an escort...).
  23. I got my gf the Nikon D3100 last year for her birthday and she loves it and the pictures look good. Think you can get in new for about £300 now as Nikon recently launched the D3200. I think it's a good one to start out with - I did loads of research at the time and pretty much all sources agreed that was the best starter DSLR.

    single malt

Sainsbury's also has the JD honey for about £17 a bottle - bought my bro some for his birthday, tastes of honey and something, can't put my finger on the something though!
  25. Is that like you can get beer a cigarettes on perscription??? You need to think about this rather than just going 'drugs are bad m'kay'. I'd rather go out in a town centre of stoned people rather than drunks! How many people get stoned and want to fight or smash stuff up?? Ultimately if people wanted to release a new product now called 'beer' of 'cigarettes' the government would veto it in a flat second. People need to realise these are part of life (and have been for hundreds of years) you can choose to put the whole process in criminal hands or you can allow it to run as a legitimate business. At least if it's legal the government can levy decent amount of tax on the legitimate distribution channels and put the money into health care and education. Surely that has to be a better approach than having the money going to criminals who pay no tax and having the money ultimately leave the country?
