i dont know if these sort of things are happening more or we are just hearing about them as a result of various forms of modern communication.................for decades i have heard of this sort of cruelty......the popular thing a few years ago was cross bow bolts in various animals..............normally in the past pre-computor time we would only hear of these incidents if it was in our local area............ im desperatly trying to make myself believe that these happenings are not on the increase.............

Wood (walnut) can be very forgiving i have found........do as Westley says # post 10....also dip the wire wool in white spirit and rub the stock down dry it off....let the stock dry...and start again............... if all fails and it dosnt take the prestain............warm it up with a hot air gun which will open the grain...and sweep the pre-stain in whilst that area is still hot............

These choke questions do my head in... am i right in saying the degree choke can only be determined once the true bore of the barrell is established.....and the true bore is always stamped on the underside of the barrel...but must be verified incase it has been lapped or reamed out ........?

get a mini pick up with a tilt........like hens teeth those are..... or a moggy pick up with tilt...............now that is style

dont know if this is of any help......... mate some years ago bought a new Berretta..........had very similar probs.....he was a bit of a wizz on the mechanical side and took it apart....inside it was cacked up with a strange grease that had gone hard and sticky....so he cleaned it all out from top to bottom, lubricated lightly...... he has used it now for 5 or 6 years...........never a problem...
