add more booze to it to cut it. if you have a litre of it then add another 1/4 of litre and try that. it works for me when theings are a little to over powering.

Last winter i have lot of very big bags with the FUDS, because their heads and bodies are movable i find you have to get the balance right with them, to many body and head up and it will put panic into any incoming birds, same goes for too many heads down as it doesnt look right in nature. we use about 60 birds set in two groups. all have been modified and now sit in any height crop, from sowing to top of rape. they turn in the wind like silosocks and they bounce in the wind. a lot of work but well worth it and now very light to carry. i will put some photos up when i get a chance. Just to add, they are not shot proof. if you hit the plastic rivets that hold them together then they brake. spares are avalable from Andrew and NRA.

Mines the same. i'm going to leave mine like it so no one else would think about drinking it. I cant believe how much homemade booze i have got though this year. not one has been bad with a few that worked fantastic, so much so i have had to hide one bottle of bramble brandy just so i have some left for next week.

I gave up in the end. the goose in Lidl looked more like a partridge it was so small. i think it would have to be the last bird on the 4 bird roast.hehe. Im starting with farmed duck as the outer bird, plenty of fat to bast the inner birds.

Can you put the ginger in a blender first?

King ginger from the distillery in nailsworth. A few of us on here was beating on a shot last year when the owner of the distillery got the kings out. i looked it up after and fell over at the price. it is a very nice warming drink on a cold day.

Anyone have or know where i can get a cheap goose crown from. we dont want to be paying £20 for one do we. i can get wild goose but not enough fat on them so need a farmed one for a 4 bird roast. fresh best but frozen will do. Its the outer bird so need the fat with out adding some, if push comes to is i will have to use wide and a jar of goose fat.

its a job i hate with a passion. i still do ducks and geese but not pheasants anymore. give nick a shout and ask him if he can get you some ready done. saves all the messing around for the price you will pay. cheating i know but for a couple of pound a bird, well worth it. or ring roger at fairford and ask how much.

I use 36g of 5 for high pheasant and late seesion when the birds fly high and think their safe. Love them. same as 30g of 6 clear pigeons on my shoulder but harder on my wallet.

If there is no sky behind then you do not shoot. Beaters and picker uppers have been shoot in the past as well as dogs that the gun does not see by guns that try to do a favour. if there are dogs on the shoot then leave them to do their job for safety sake.
