  15. yep! frank for me as well. £138 fully comp. you dont need to worry about 'no claims bonus' you need to be a member of a club, it can bean online club im member of pocuk. limited mileage but you can pay extra for more. im on 5k pa needs to be modified for off road type use. wheels, body jacked was all i put. you only need to be named on someone else insurance for it to be a second car which is what i did. you all so have 2gether that use the same insurance underwriters. they wouldn't allow the pajero as to many problems but spoke to frank and he sorted it out. this is a specialist 4x4 insurance for off road users and not chelsea trackers, hence the need for modifications. there thought is that off roader dont worry about dents and scraps as its nature of the beast. so its more for if you run into someone/thing so your covered. i spent a long time last year sorting problems out because of 2gether so i will not use them anymore.
  16. Lightforce do not make lamps with dimmers, its deben that put the dimmers in and sell them on. i spoke to lightforce about this a short while ago and they assured me that lightforce have never made a lamp with a dimmer, if you dont have a dimmer then contact clulite as they do add on's that work with the 100watt bulb of the 170 and 240 lightforce. you can stock mount the dimmer as its like the deben one. i use a 240 hand held for foxing and i did use a tracer max pro for rabbits on the rimfire but im selling that one now. the 240 is a bit clumsy but lamps well with the dimmer i have fitted and i have changed the bulb to a 75watt which gives me more lamping time on the battery. Phil
  17. You know what, thats a bl00dy good idea. you could put under floor heating in and then tile over. why didnt i think of that before. D'OH! Phil
  18. where abouts are you based, try local wholesalers as you can get a few £ off high street price. i will not use Bakers as they use to many colourings that send the dog hyper. bit like kids on sunset yellow. Skinners muesli for my 10 month cocker pup and maintenance for the 30 month cocker then once work rate goes up i will change to working 23.
  19. we have been using them all winter. we started with 18 a magnet and a couple of landers. all bags were 100+ every time. We have now added more and now use 40, magnet and a lander/bouncer or two. now looking at modifying. i have cut the plate thinner and it helps but as sied, there is no movement so im just waiting for a reply from NRA as to more rivets as i want to do away with the plate and put a wire in its place. so i can put into the top of a garden cane on crop or in the mud on sowings. Phil.
  20. My dog has only ever messed inside twice and the bitch has never messed. we had a few puddles with the dog but again the bitch was as good as gold. plus i knew what i was looking for the second time around. the pup will give you a sign that it needs to go. sniffing a spot, doing circles, a whimper or just looking anxious. you have to pick up that sign and act on it straight away. i found every 1/2 hour i was taking the pup out do have a pee, their bladders are only small so cant hold much pee. after a feed they went out for a turn out. last meal was 9pm and then put in crate at 11pm. i had to get up every couple of hours to let out in garden but it was only for around 2 weeks so only a small amount of time really. as said above, use a key word when pup is doing its business, it will soon learn that when you give the command it will do as asked. my first cocker was so good that my son was taking the pup out in the garden for the first time. son forgot what i told him and said' Teague, you want to go to toilet?' yep, teague did a pee there and then on the carpet. he was only doing as told so had to ignore it and carry on as if nothing happened. im not expert but it worked for me with the last two dogs, both are kept in the house, crated at night in their own crates and never ever put in the crates for doing something naughty.
  21. that will teach me not reading all the post. the mod is the older SAK, mine are the newer ones. anti splatter spray, washing up liquid and water.hehe.
  22. plusgas, diesel wd40. stand gun up on mod and keep adding the plusgas, do this over night. two flats on the end of the mod, put a couple of layers of cloth on the jaws of a vice and then nip up the flats on the mod, into the vice. take it steady and turn the mod sleeve and barrle anit-clockwise. it should unscrew. once it does come off and you have cleaned what you need to get your self a little tube of copper grease and put some on the tread before putting mod back on. once i come home i give the mod a slight unscrew just so it doesn't seize up. again yes i have done it as well. hehe
  23. Good news for the unrestricted shotgun, it always helps when you dont have to get police involved on farm land, i lost loads due to it, once condition changed it was so much easier. plus i can go to friends permissions and shoot rather that be an observer. you 22.250 is not great news how ever. Taken from BASC. England and Wales For Muntjac and Chinese Water deer only- a rifle with a minimum calibre of not less than .220 inches and muzzle energy of not less than 1000 foot pounds and a bullet weight of not less than 50 grains may be used. For all deer of any species - a minimum calibre of .240 and minimum muzzle energy of 1,700 foot pounds is the legal requirement.
  24. I would say yes if you were closer. nice offer though. you feeding wet of dry? mine both went off it wet so i started to feed dry and now i dont even think it touches the sides on the way down. Phil.
