I've just paid £48 for 250 Eley HB pigeon 32g, 6.5, fibre. (£168 / 1000) My pal got a better deal on Eley Realtree 30g, 6.5, fibre ..... got those for £30 for 200 (can't get any more of these though!)

I phoned them on a few occasions and never had any trouble with them tbh, mind that was after the visit when there was a feeling the SGC had been lost in the post.

I'm afraid it's just a case of being patient, I waited 4 weeks then one day got an answer machine message from a young lady informing me of when the visit would be. The FEO did say the dept was very busy and running behind as they were also getting ready to move the whole dept, there would also be a bit of a delay to get the SGC through the door (5weeks).

I did my first application this year. 1 day short of 11 weeks from posting application to Northumbria police. (5 weeks 5 days from posting application to visit ..... 5 weeks 1 day for SGC to be delivered) Have you had the home visit yet or notification of when you will get the visit ??

I shoot on a field very close to the end of Newcastle International Airport's runway and don't get any problems and I do inform the police control to let them know I'm there. :blink: It's rather scary how a FLO can say something like that. :blink:

Excellent pictures and your boy seems to be having a great time, watch that eagle doesn't take off with him though. :blink: My work sometimes involves going onto landfill sites and they fly BoP to scare the flying vermin away, I can sit for ages just watching them fly (don't tell my boss though! :blink: ).

I put a Logun QGS Silencer on my Ultra and I'm very happy with it, it's also a very good match to the barrel. :look:

I also bought a digital safe to keep my spare keys in but my FEO said he would prefer if my keys were hidden as the safe would probably be the first place any naughty boys would try to get into. I can see his point, it means your digital safe is the strong point in the link and I'm not sure what is the strongest ...... the safe or the gun cabinet. :blink:

We all go through this check and to be honest, it's nowhere near as bad as you expect it to be. Be polite and answer all questions with the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Don't panic about it though, it is basically to check your cabinet and home security ........ don't forget to have the kettle on. (if it helps, I was also very nervous before my visit but it was over in roughly 20 mins and I was left wondering why I had worried)
