  1. Its a complicated subject, but any debts or liabilities have to be settled in full before you can get probate.
  2. Yes exactly why do we look left and right when crossing the road? because we are bedwetters apparantly Whats the opposite of a bedwetter? oh yes I remember, its a Richard head
  3. You can download the manuals http://www.icenicam.org.uk/library/Villiers/10D_6E_manual_1949-04.pdf http://www.icenicam.org.uk/library/Villiers/10D_6E_manual_1956-11.pdf
  4. Fortunately I don't have any concerns so it saves me having to go up there just so they can do a few tests, its always struck me as a box ticking exercise anyway. How they plan to do the tests by video is yet to be explained. Its like the joke about the man who goes to the doctor who tells him he will be dead in six months unless he has a simple operation Oh right he says, when do I have the operation? Well, thats the problem says the doctor, there's a two year waiting list
  5. My hospital has just sent me a letter saying my (overdue ) annual review will be a video call on ................22/9/2021
  6. Or staff were just let go and employer pocketed the furlough money.
  7. Its only the tip of the iceberg in my opinion, there is no way of knowing the real extent of the fraud.
  8. My fundamental belief in all of this is that people don't break one rule while adhering religiously to all the other rules. So yes, the signs are there
  9. I know or know of eleven people who have died from it including my OH's cousin, choked coughing up blood, it was horrific apparantly. several former work collegues (from the company website) two members of a rifle club I belong to my mate who was in a care home after a non life threatening stroke two former customers my former next door neighbour from my old address, He never went anywhere except the paper shop at the end of the road. plus another man, a near neighbour who had mild symptoms but suddenly collapsed and died before the ambulance got to him. recorded as
  10. We have to remember Sweden has a much smaller population spread over a very big land mass. It also doesnt have several international hub airports and the biggest financial capital in the world.
  11. It still doesn't balance the books as a business plan Konor. I think your real desire is summed up in your last paragraph. You don't want to be governed by a Tory Government in Westminster,
  12. Most of the money collected is still in a bank account somewhere allegedly according to local folklore. The fund was set up as a Relief Fund. In other words a hardship fund but its hard to define hardship resulting from the loss of a child. Grief, pain, anger, depression yes but actual financial hardship, thats tricky. Most of the families were too proud to ask in the years that followed. They had to make an application to the trustees and a lot were turned down. I think the families got a token amount at the time but that was seen as blood money I have been there, I had a house not far away for a while, I wish I hadn't really, there is definitely still something hanging over the place.
  13. On this subject, I can't really see beyond the question "why has Manchester got a spike in the first place?" and I can't answer that question in my own mind without believing that non compliance has been a factor, maybe the biggest factor So, if that is true, more money and more lockdown isn't going to work
  14. It was Sadiq Khan who withdrew from the project as soon as he got into office. It was a political move on his part which left the private backers high and dry. You can't blame Boris for that It was never Boris' project although he supported it The Garden Bridge Trust was a private company registered as a charity.
  15. He is playing the oldest Labour trick in the book, creating a sense of injustice when there isn't one
  16. He is raising his profile, the game is on
  17. I want to join the Royal Polo Club at Windsor but I know what the answer would be if I applied
  18. Andy Burnham is loving it, his face is on the front of every newspaper, he is the lead story in every news bulletin across all the Tv channels and on every radio station. Keir Starmer is nowhere to be seen. Make no mistake, Burnham is not taking on Boris, he is taking on Starmer The longer he can drag it out the more he shows Starmer up as ineffectual
  19. The only thing I would say about Nicola, and it sticks in my craw to say it. She got up every day and spoke, what she said was "on message" and factual.
  20. Well one of the big markets for game birds is Borough Market in London and that is totally knackered at the moment. Hotels are not buying, restaurants are not buying and ordinary costomers are not venturing out
  21. I am by no means a fan of Nicola Sturgeon but I would agree with you whole heartedly. She has been the best
  22. The platforms for the Forties field in the 1970s were built on Teeside and Nigg bay before final assembly off Aberdeen prior to being towed out and commissioned Aberdeen being deep enough to handle the support vessels, massive cranes etc rather than the rigs itself and the closest deep water harbour to the oil field. Aberdeen, being the only viable harbour for a long way north or south attracted all the associated industries as well. Plus the airport, it became the Dallas of the Highlands.
  23. Its not Scotland's oil, virtually none of it is in Scottish waters. Its way out into the North sea in international waters The idea its Scots oil is a rather fanciful idea that the Scots cling to because the oil companies use the port of Aberdeen. Not because its close to the oil fields but because it is a deep water harbour capable of building the rigs before they were assembled and towed out to into the North sea
  24. Neither Wales nor Scotland would be capable of financial independence, so what sort of "independence" are they talking about? To me independent means not being dependent. Thats clearly not going to be possible.
  25. They can't we run their army and air force (effectively), on contract of course but its our tanks etc and our expertise. Its the only reason they are still on the map and not a page in history.
