This whole pandemic is just a desperate ploy to stop Liverpool winning the Premiership according to my son.
-
Well 25% commission on what this bloke has will amount to more than a few quid but they won't even take it in.
-
Wow! this is getting really heavy

Selling/buying guns at the moment
Vince Green replied to Lucasnorth's topic in General Shooting Matters
My mate Gordon is into boats and he always says you can tell the state of the economy by looking round a boat yard and seeing how many are for sale. As soon things go bad the "for sale" signs start appearing. My nephew works for a Ford main agent in the leasing dept and they have had people in tears on the phone. He is finding it very distressing and it is definitely getting to him already. My brother is worried about him, if its like this now whats it going to be like in six months? Its definitely going to be a buyers market, boats cars guns or whatever -
That tells you everything you need to know

You wont get me on an underground train again in a hurry and I travel free
-
They say that but I rarely travel transatlantic and not get a cold afterwards. Mind you, every part of the process is an infection nightmare when you start to look at airport lounges etc
-
Well they are supposed to be doing that now but clearly people are not doing it. The Piccadilly line links Heathrow Airport with London, travellers are seen daily with suitcases on the trains..

The Spanish bubble had burst before all this came along, it had been in decline for many years. This will probably kill it off though. More so on the islands but property prices and profitability has been going down for a long time. The Spanish answer to taking less money in the tills was to put the prices up and that made to situation worse.

Sir David King, who was chief scientific advisor to both Tony Blair and Gordon Brown has decided to set up a rival advisory group to the Government's SAGE group. Despite not having a medical background Sir David, who has been an outspoken supporter of Extinction Rebellion, feels he could do a better job. Or does he want to just cause trouble and spread disagreement and controversy? what other aim could he have? His track record with extinction rebellion shows a willingness to express radical views and endorse civil disobedience.

My first thought was Easy Jet out of Stanstead but I don't know, they are regulars to Turkey they have been going back and forth for decades several times a year

The train is good to Cornwall but not very suitcase friendly again. The racks are tiny and the isles are narrow.

Flybe was great, I could fly up from Cornwall to London in 55 mins and it wasn't expensive. The planes were never more than half full though and I could never understand why but I think it was because they offered a hand luggage only deal. If you wanted to take anything more they crucified you on price. I was amazed too

Yes just think of Florida, you don't have to look any further than that. Now this is in the category of strange but true, a message on facebook today from a couple we have known for years but rarely see. They are flying off today on holiday to Turkey. I couldn't believe it when I saw it this morning. There message was along the lines "can't stand it anymore, off to the sun and freedom" and NO they are not joking. I know exactly where they are going

Yes you are right, one of the reasons which I had not realised until this happened is that Italy uses a lot of Chinese workers as cheap labour. They use them in the clothing factories in Northern Italy and a lot in the hotels. The first cases in Italy were all Chinese Nationals. The emergence coincided with the ski season, and skiers took it back to their own countries having probably caught it from workers in their hotels.

Been trying to offload some guns for a member of our club who has lost his driving licence on medical grounds and his FAC is running out. No RFD locally will even take them off his hands to sell on commission. They all say the same thing, everybody and their cousin is wanting to sell their gear at the moment but the RFDs don't want to take in a load of stuff they are going to get stuck with.

The financial world is walking away from the airlines as fast as it can without making it any more obvious than it has to. The feeling is at least 50% will go bust (or are already) and volumes will take years to recover. Cheap holiday flights and package holidays will not be around when the lockdown lifts. Think of the financial impact on many of the destinations

There will be a lot of very cheap guns on the market soon if my experience this week is anything to go by.

How many gun shops are open at the moment?
Vince Green replied to Vince Green's topic in General Shooting Matters
Why would he be telling porkies? That's a very strange comment to make -

Yes that's what he is going to do -

Interestingly, another RFD has been told (allegedly) that he is allowed to remain open because RFD is a specialist service (what ever that means?) which is needed for people to comply with the law with face to face transactions. However, as he said, with no customers whats the point? He's not going to sit in an empty shop all day getting fed up. But like WW he says everybody only wants to offload guns at the moment. -
Yes you are more or less right, new cases now have been infected in lockdown almost certainly. Many people still haven't got a clue about hand transmission, two examples. 1) my mothers friend goes to Morrisons, no gloves, afterwards she said "as soon as I had put all my shopping away I gave my hands a good wash" so she had been touching the kitchen handles, fridge etc inside her house before she washed her hands. 2) Woman seen coming out of Tesco with trolley load of shopping talking on her phone. Even if you explained it to he she probably wouldn't get it little things but they add up https://inews.co.uk/news/health/coronavirus-latest-contaminated-surfaces-covid-19-droplets-air-explained-sage-2680179?itm_source=parsely-api

Yes there are too many doubts being raised now
