  1. Ah so now we get to the truth, you just want to use it to get an excuse to stab Boris in the back. I suppose you will be supporting the traitor Ed Davey on June 12th and this is what the whole silly episode is really about.?
  2. Prior to 1976 it was perfectly legal to buy a big cat, a puma, cheetah, even lions and tigers and keep them at home, 100% legal. People kept them as "cool" and trendy pets. You could buy them at Club Row market in East London and even Harrods sold them. Then one day it all changed, the Dangerous Animals Act made it illegal to own them but gave owners no way of getting rid of them. Zoos didn't want them and fearing prosecution many owners just turned them loose. Hertfordshire where I lived and shot in the late 70s was infested with them. The ministry of agriculture hunted down and disposed of dozens of them on the quiet. Others got hit by cars or shot by farmers and gamekeepers. But they were all taken away by the M of A or the police and disappeared. It makes me laugh when people debunk big cat sightings but these ones today must be third generation if they have survived? Also big cats in the wild go black, their fur generally darkens , don't know why it just does .
  3. He's not an elected politician, he's not a public servant and the police say he didn't break any laws so what's the big deal?
  4. I am finding it hard to give a damn
  5. Raja you seriously need to get out more
  6. He's not elected and he is not actually in public office, (despite what everybody seems to think) so Durham police should just issue him with a £60 and be done with it. The people making the most noise about this are actually trying to undermine Boris
  7. Just pay it and get on with your life. That's my view
  8. The EU is already kicking back at the suggestion that Barnier might have to actually make a compromise on Fishing https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1287373/Brexit-news-Michel-Barnier-UK-EU-trade-talks-fishing-rights-latest-update
  9. Real refugees generally don't have the means to make the thousand mile journey
  10. Finally we are winning some ground from the EU in the (so called) negotiation. First blood https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1287174/Brexit-news-UK-EU-trade-talks-deal-Michel-Barnier-fishing-latest-david-frost
  11. With the GLE it depends which engine option you choose the standard 2 litre diesel is slow I believe but the 3 litre petrol V6 should be faster
  12. When you are in a hole stop digging and when you have nothing new to say don't call a press conference. It was a display of arrogance and not much else
  13. Have a look at these people https://www.bestpartstore.co.uk/ they look like a British company but its actually AutoDoc Berlin. Prices are amazing and watch for the discount codes. Because of German type approval laws all parts have to be genuine so no cheap pattern parts. We bought a turbo for a BMW last year and it was £1000 less than BMW wanted for the same part, and I do mean the same, not similar or an alternative. Only downside is the parts take a week to get here
  14. As a Mercedes owner for more than 25 years, My last car was a SL55 AMG which I sold on 27th Feb in anticipation of taking delivery of my new car which hasn't turned up. Over the years I have had many Mercs mostly high performance and my greatest reason for owning Mercs was the spares were so cheap. I have always bought my spares direct from Germany mail order as suggested originally by the owners club and the prices are staggering. I think the suspension leg for the CL500 is the same as the CLK 500 so depending on year you are looking at under £400 I got new high composition pads and AMG discs all round for the SL55 for around £400. If I had got them from Mercedes UK I would probably looking at £2000. The beauty of buying from Germany is their laws do not allow the fitting of pattern parts so you are buying parts that come from makers that supply Mercedes however my recommendation in this instance would be look very seriously at Hyundai.
  15. We were in a park in Carshaulton Surrey today and a lot there were Eastern Europeans. I think its because they live in overcrowded housing so use the parks and beaches as their outdoor space.
  16. Its pretty obvious what their real motives are, they are not even sophisticated in their tactics. Its easy to side step their obvious trap by saying schools CAN go back once they have all their plans in place. Then leave OFSTEAD to sweep up the ones that haven't
  17. In the end it all comes down to money. There is no solidarity where money is concerned https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1278118/eu-news-coronavirus-italy-italexit-euro-eurozone-coronabonds-netherlands-spt?int_source=traffic.outbrain&int_medium=traffic.outbrain&int_term=traffic.outbrain&int_content=traffic.outbrain&int_campaign=traffic.outbrain
  18. This is a good article, given more credibility because it quotes a German economist. Its a fact what we have been saying all along. The EU needs us more than we need them and if they hadn't treated us with such arrogance maybe it wouldn't have ended this way https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1284916/brexit-news-eu-uk-latest-von-der-leyen-eurozone-brussels-france-germany?utm_source=traffic.outbrain&utm_medium=traffic.outbrain&utm_term=traffic.outbrain&utm_content=traffic.outbrain&utm_campaign=traffic.outbrain
  19. Barnier is losing the battle now, he can't keep up the stance he has adopted throughout https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1278540/brexit-news-Michel-Barnier-eu-trade-talks-Europe-news-eu-transition-period?int_source=traffic.outbrain&int_medium=traffic.outbrain&int_term=traffic.outbrain&int_content=traffic.outbrain&int_campaign=traffic.outbrain
  20. https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1286526/labour-mps-trade-unions-strike-action-trains-transport-latest-coronavirus-lockdown some people are willing to exploit a tragedy
  21. There are grey areas with 10/22 aftermarket stocks regarding the law. "Folding" stocks are not generally legal but you do see them advertised and I have most definitely seen them on the ranges. Perhaps somebody will be able to clarify the detail but my advice would be to buy one from a reputable source and not off ebay
  22. It goes the other way too, some MOT stations "find" problems then charge you to fix them before they will pass it
  23. They were selling ammo at Bisley yesterday when I was down there shooting on the range. They had social distancing measures in place much like you would find in Tesco. I think most gun shops are open now
  24. I don't know why the disposable razors I buy in America always seem to last so much longer than the ones I buy here. I like the ones they sell in Publix and try to bring some home with me.
