  1. +1 Absolutely correct, its going to be tough when we have to go it alone, and all the remainers will be clucking like chickens. However, in the long term it is still better than having to live under the EU's crazy rules and pay to subsidise financial failures that are already terminal
  2. When you consider how easily they can smuggle drugs and people into the country, illegal guns are not going to be difficult to bring in as well.
  3. Actually we don't have to do anything of the sort, quite the reverse. Just tell them we are leaving and that's it. The rest is BS. If they gave me the job I could complete the entire Brexit negotiation in less than an hour.
  4. Its not gun related, all substances imported into the EU have to be REACH compliant. As I understand it the importers simply don't think the volumes justify the cost of getting them all tested.
  5. Davis, it turns out wasn't even doing the negotiations, Robbins was, He's the one that's got to go now.
  6. Yes ground sources like rivers, streams, bore holes and wells it makes no difference, all the water belongs to the water company, you never own it.
  7. Actually that doesn't make any difference, a hosepipe ban is still a hosepipe ban. The water company owns all the water in its area, even the water in your car's radiator so they can say what they like and make any rule they like regarding the use of water. Silly? yes but legal. Farmers, car washes etc are on a business water rate and different rules apply. So basically I can't clean my own car but I can pay somebody else to.
  8. Teresa May has long since handed over the Brexit negotiations to Olly Robbins, a civil servant who, while he cannot have a view officially, exuded Remain in everything he says and does. There were warning bells about this in January. May appears to have a fundamental weakness, she fears her ministers as rivals so she has put all her trust in this man who flatters her. Look him up on Google, all will become apparant
  9. The EU puts a 10% tariff on cars from USA, Japan etc. We don't even see the money from that tariff on cars imported into this country, it goes straight to Brussels coffers. So on day one, lots of imported cars could become 10% cheaper overnight at no loss to the British Exchequer. Or more likely we revert to WTO rate of 3.8% and the cars become 6.2% cheaper and the Exchequer makes 3.8% that it didn't see before. The EU are gangsters, people don't realise how badly we are getting turned over.
  10. The EU doesn't allow us to buy meat from the US, and I think only tinned meat from Argentina. The EU blocks a lot of things.
  11. +1 and clad the outside with shingles made from roofing felt
  12. You are slightly wrong on that. It should read "We pay it to the EU and they decide how LITTLE we get back"
  13. No, there are questions over the loading of ammunition for resale. I don't think it actually says anywhere that you cant, but many FEOs take the view that will need to be an RFD to enter into commercial activities.
  14. Its hard to judge until the facts emerge, got to give it more time. . . Practically everybody who dies in a hospice probably dies from a morphine OD, my Dad certainly did. But he went peacefully, without pain and with dignity. When my time comes I would want the same.
  15. I don't have much choice, the in laws have big football parties with pizza and beer at every opportunity. World Cup, Euros, FA Cup, Champions League etc. Incidentally they also do the same on Eurovision night and Wimbledon final. Some big horse races too, but rugby cricket and F1, or any motorsport is totally blanked
  16. The world cup is to quality football what the Eurovision song contest is musical excellence.
  17. Fouling? It was nothing really compared to what goes on in a scrum, they just need to get on with it and deal out a little back. The trouble is the camera comes in too close these days.
  18. They don't like getting their hands dirty, it makes their skin so rough. They are all a bit precious.
  19. No but he did an Oscar winning dive
  20. That's right based on the assumption they really are searching for an opening. That suggests a couple of strikers should be moving upfield ready to start an attack at some stage. In the Spain match I was talking about that wasn't happening. They were just churning for churning sake and every now and then send the ball back to the goalkeeper. Nothing that looked like an attacking formation was even starting to take shape at the sharp end. That's why I said in a previous post they had the aura of disinterest. Get this match over and we can all go home
  21. Gordon, WTO tariff is 3.8% that's what we will be charging on goods coming in, we already do that with the rest of the world. I can't imagine where the other figures came from.
  22. The European court is nothing to do with the EU. Its run by the Council of Europe, we are not leaving that. The Council of Europe is the real deal, The EU are gangsters
  23. One of my old shooting mates Greg was a consultant in a London hospital, he said he had no way of knowing whether a patient was entitled to treatment or not. That's a simple systems failure these days, it could easily be remedied.
  24. I seriously don't think the Government has a handle on health tourism. Any EU citizen can come to this country and get an NHS number, at that point they enter the system. Had they been given a subtly different number it could have been monitored and controlled. My mother's carer (Hungarian) brought her mother over for an operation in about 2014, her mother returned to Hungary after the operation. But I know her daughter is still getting repeat prescriptions for her medication from the GP here and posting them to her mother because she openly talks about it.
  25. But it is spoiling the game and nothing is being done about it
