The local community where the victim lived are saying this wasn't an isolated incident. The police officers have been beating up poor black men routinely for a long time. They obviously got a power kick from the beatings they handed out. It can still be considered racist even though the police officers were also black because the victim was almost certainly chosen for a beating by his colour, age and being in a poor neighbourhood If they hadn't gone too far and killed him they never would have heard any more about it. The victim wouldn't have the money to sue the police and nobody would have believed him if he complained. Anyway who would he complain to ?

That's why I dont think for one moment the Ukrainians will be given all the most up to date operating systems. If any? Besides it would take a long time to train the crews on how to use all the systems to their full potential

IF ,and its a big IF, the crew can use the on board weapon systems to their full potential the mordern battle tank can be a formidable weapon against infantry and obsolete Russian kit. They are giving them the tank's but it's not clear what systems they will be getting

I can't believe it wasn't done years ago. Now they have to get a grip on the postal votes fraud -
I wonder what they think they are contracted to do ?
-
Nobody is going to privatise the NHS, that was just a lie made up by Ed Milliband's election campaign in 2015 because they were trying to frighten people into voting for them. GP surgeries are largely already privately owned. They always have been, they are contracted to the NHS.

Surgeries are paid according to the number of patients they have on their books not the number of patients that they see per day/week/year. It used to be £160 per patient per year, I don't know what it is now, almost certainly more now. If the payment system was turned on its head and they got paid per appointment instead the service would be revolutionised at a stroke. How many inactive patients remain on surgery books years after they move away or die? Does anyone ever audit their records? The surgeries have no incentive to do so. I bet my mother's carer Katie is still on our local surgery's books even though she went back to Hungary two years ago. And they are still getting paid for her. There must be thousands like Katie in the system.

after a total lead ban if it happens
Vince Green replied to rbrowning2's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
How many clay grounds could survive with a significant down turn in people if they are shooting less ? How many gunshops could stand a down turn in ammo sales? Who is going to shoot .22 non lead ammo at around £15 a box when the accuracy is reported to be poor? In the present financial climate even a small percentage change is going to kill the businesses that supply the sport Even now before it's happened there is evidence that suppliers are running down their stock. -
There are a lot springing up because of the situation so you will need to search on Google but I think about £75 is typical

Most of my family now use a private walk in surgery nearby. You are seen there and then.

My Surgery just says no appointments available if you are in pain or have a temperature go to A&E It's been like it since the lockdown

Exactly right! Before they made nursing a degree course the student nurses were used as cheap labour on the wards while they trained. But they saw a lot and learned a lot as they went along that proved invaluable. In those days every hospital had its own nurses school and nurses home. Now we don't train a fraction of the nurses we need to replace the ones who retire or leave for other reasons. Instead we rely on getting nurses from all over the world despite the fact that many of them have qualifications well below the standard of the British nurses

Actually Kwarteng's budget was text book brilliant as an exercise in what needs to be done to sort out the economy. The fact that the big financial institutions wouldn't go along with it speaks volumes about what their motives and priorities are. It shows that the Government, any Gpvernment, hasn't the clout to make the rules

Not all vegetarians are vegetarians because they are 'anti cruelty' Hindus do it because its a part of their religion. My friend is a veggie because he doesn't like the taste or texture of meat. Others do it as a healthy option for their diet.

Who sells books? Including the biggest selling non fiction book ever?

Top trumps Megan is a bigger earner for them than Clarkson. So Clarkson has to grovel

Just because we don't see her doesn't mean the loonies have gone away. If we were unfortunate enough to elect a labour government Starmer would be ousted in a very short time and be replaced by someone much more hard left

We need to keep Ed Milliband appearing on TV as much as possible because he shows the Labour Party up for what it really is. A load of political light weights who couldn't run a chip shop much less the country. I'm not really impressed with the Conservatives either but when I see the likes of Milliband, Starmer and Raynor being interviewed I just cringe at how bad they are. I despair at the political system we have in this country

It raises the question why we have a 'Columbian Community ' living in London in the first place. It's not somewhere that we have any historic or political ties with

It happened in Euston, to the north side of Euston Rd are some very rough and dodgy estates

Probably the same people. My mate who lived in Ibetha used to describe the Brits beach bums getting their dole paid straight into their bank accounts back home while living in the sun

It's not just 'poor' people who are on prepayment meters. A lot of rental properties have them now. It's a growing trend among landlords.
