  1. I use an ex army goretex as well. I like the idea of using layers rather than one thick layer.
  2. Where abouts in Norfolk? It's a big county! Just a rough idea. I'm near Wisbech on the camps Norfolk border.
  3. I've been looking for a magnet, I shall have a look at the a1 website
  4. I would help at a work party, I think it's a good way for new members to see the marshes and ask a few questions whilst there. I don't know if making it compulsory would be best ie people may be at work etc. However I do believe members should be more involved with the club somehow. Well I certainly would like to be more involved Not sure how but definitely food for thought. Pm me if you wish.
  5. It's not all mud and gunge, some parts are more like a grass field. Ps I normally use waxoyl seems to do the job.
  6. If you wait till September you could leave ya defender and have 2 days wildfowling on the wash!
  7. I agree. Not too many places as flat as the fens.
  8. If your looking at wildfowling, join a wildfiwing club because most include basc membership.
  9. This is my third season and it's had its ups and downs. I think any of the wash groups are good. Ayano3 has help me along the way. Washwildfowler has help me this season with a few mistakes which I have learnt from, as well as showing me the ropes in my first two seasons I've come to learn that wilfolwers are a funny bunch but also some of the most helpfull people around. I agree we must pull together and help new people, I am far from an expert but I still have managed to help two new memebers get into the sport.
  10. Good idea. Perhaps they could do the same with cats. Then we could stop the bloody things using my garden as a toilet. What about horses?
  11. Be carefull when buying a cheap neoprene pair. my cheap ones have lasted 4 outings and the sole has detached from the boot. the ebayer i got the from dont really want to know. expect a topic titled "How to fix my waders" to pop up shortly.
