That's the one spandit-top man-all I need to do know is find the episode.

All other criteria aside-the only real way to tell is to remove the action and clamp it to a steady heavy table or such like. You would then have to use the best, most consistet pellets that you can find-size them and then fire off, say, ten shots-you would then get a good idea of your guns capabilities. When you see accuracy tests on youtube and suchlike on The Airgungear Show etc they are a complete waste of time because you are injecting Human error into the equation-even a 10 shot one-hole group may be down to bad shooting if the gun is inaccurate but you just happen to be pointing the gun in the correct place when you pull the trigger. My S410 is easily capable of 10 shot one holers at 25 yards-shame is that I'm not

Learning to shoot again...off the 'wrong' shoulder.
bruno22rf replied to -Mongrel-'s topic in General Shooting Matters
I lost my right eye 16 years ago after shooting right handed for 20+its not as hard as you might think-worst thing I found was simply carrying the gun in the "wrong" arm-once the gun comes into your shoulder things become more instinctive and you might find that your shooting improves-certainly if you've had a degenerative condition and you have not noticed the slow deterioration in your sight. -
Whoops-never noticed the age of the thread-god this section must be getting boring

Couple of years ago I recall seeing a sketch where a bunch of mature lady's were sat around a table-playing cards or crafting? and they were naked/semi naked-it was a comedy along the lines of Catherine Tate-but I cannot remember where I saw it-anyone?

I was going to say how shocked I felt that someone could dump a car in such stunning surroundings.

I'm in the same frame of mind as Zenduri-if you start trying to make it something that it was never designed to be you could ruin it-if you want something with a bit more oomph then px it against a newer higher powered model-some of the posts on the Airgun section seem to indicate that you can get a good quality, high powered and accurate Turkish built rifle for less than £100-might be worth reading?

I will have the Browning cylinder and 1/4 if that's ok-pm me your paypal details or favourite method of payment please-Bruno.

Before I work on world poverty I found a cure for the missing sock epidemic-simply a matter of procedure....NO socks go into the wash unless they are in pairs and rolled up together-100% success rate to date.

I must admit to feeling sorry for the people that these women deserted and who's lives are now in tatters-Husbands, Sisters and Brothers and countless other family members and relatives-cant we send them to Syria as well?- on purely humanitarian grounds of course . -
Its summer-Aldi do a 660ml (that's 2 cans) bottle of San Miguel for £1.25-cheaper than water and refreshing if well chilled.

Air Wolf Wins double 1st place in Lebanon Extreme Contest
bruno22rf replied to evo's topic in Airgunners
I found out that "extreme" competitions in Lebanon must be shot wearing high heeled sandals-quite common with Daystate users apparently . -
Air Wolf Wins double 1st place in Lebanon Extreme Contest
bruno22rf replied to evo's topic in Airgunners
You had to look to Lebanon to find a competition that Daystate have won? What was "extreme" about it I wonder? Anyways....well done Ahmed-I will raise a glass and cry "Alans Snackbar" in your honour. -
Flyboy1950-exactly which internals would a sharp spring rip apart in a HW80? I also cannot understand why Hull Cartridge would need to cut a spring for an FAC 80-they are imported at 18ft/lb as standard and when I spoke to HC Co. they told me they had the FAC springs coming out of their ears-they have to throw them away.PS-You mean 5.5mm not inches on your pellet sizes-mind you Daystate are probably looking into making a five and a half inch calibre Airgun-limited edition of course.
-
Why would a PCP not last as long as a spring gun?-the few moving parts are under little pressure and hardly move-as long as you use clean air then corrosion is no more than any other gun and all the seals together cost pennies. BTW-the Challenger could only have been 5 years old when you got it, chris1961, I have bogies on my pillow older than that ps-mate has an Air Arms SM100 that looks like new-he reckons it was made in the early 90's?

What does the mega bucks Wolverine .303 do that ANY £150 .22lr doesn't-no tank-no messing around recharging every 20? shots-no expensive lumps of melted church roof-the ..lr is quieter as well........303 Air Rifle why??-just because you can seems a bit daft

Police contacted me about watching porn ?
bruno22rf replied to Browning 425 clay hunter's topic in Off Topic
Had this several times-disconnect from internet asap-restart-run C-Cleaner-if you do it quick enough that clears it. If you cannot get rid of it no matter what then it simply "dies" after a few weeks. -
Jeeeez ,evo,-that's nowhere near 55 yards m8-not much more than an arms length

My MK3 was the start of my loathing for Daystates-poor build quality and constant jams if you tried to cycle the mag with the gun pointing upwards-when I sold it I practically had to give it away (mind you it was LH)-shops are still trying to rip buyers off by selling early used Daystates at stupid prices-but the gullible are still buying them so maybe its our own fault?

Pop along to Tesco and buy yourself a box of Shredded Wheat-eat at least 3 at a time . Seriously though-your strength will increase and after a while you will find it much easier to cock-an increase in muscle can also help maintain a steadier hold.

IMHO its down to how much it would cost to bring the 300s back to "good+" condition. If you can do it on the cheap then get it done and mothball the old girl-price is only going to go one way. On the other hand it can cost a kings ransom to refurbish some guns in which case sell it for what you can privately-someone willing to undertake the work themselves might be willing to pay a little extra. You will most likely get loads of suggestions about which gun to buy so for what its worth-TRY a TX200 in .177 if you want a spring gun-or a S410/510 if you want something already full of phut.

I have a Mercury S in .177 and its ok. My first experience with the Mercury was in the early 80's when a couple of my mates had them, I had a Relum at the time and the BSA seemed to be from a different planet performance wise. Prices are still reasonable -in fact you can still get one for around £100 if you are quick but, if I were you, I would go for a rarer model like the S or the Challenger as the value is likely to rise. Check for any side to side play on the barrel when the gun is cocked-the early guns (MK1 and 2 I think) have no means of tightening the breach faces but the later ones were fitted with a bolt/nut instead of a pin-the smaller calibre guns are also quite pellet fussy with most modern pellets dropping well down the breach before stopping-AA field do it but still remain accurate.
