We fitted plastic "pine effect" skirting boards years ago-soooo much easier to fit (gripfill straight to the wall)-they follow any deviations or defects in the wall and require no maintenance whatsoever and you would never know they were plastic.

Why?-was someone speeding?

I have to agree with lockstockandbarrel-the TX is in a class of its own-its practically a custom rifle at a run of the mill price. The shorter barrel is going to bark a bit but that's the nature of the beast. Without wishing to sound harsh-if you cant master such a precision piece of equipment then changing to something that ,chances are, is inferior is not the answer-stick with it and practice as much as you can and the gun will reward you handsomely.

Make sure you source wood from the coldest country possible-it grows slower and is far better for building. My daughter lives in a cabin in our garden-made from pine sections so not really a log cabin as such but it has a 20 year warranty on it but you have to apply preservative stain every 2 years.

Used to catch millions of the horrid things-killing them on site is not really an option because you should really purge them in clean water for a couple of days to remove any muddy taste. I used to have permission close to where they originally escaped (stoney stratford in Bucks) and the waters were heaving with them-at one point we were catching them and stepping on them so the Gulls could feast. Never heard of anyone with a licence.

That looks like a Goldwing lump?

Trip to the vets will sort him but I think it takes something away from the character of a dog-as well as the musky smell that is.

Right-not shooting related but....brake discs work by converting friction into heat and dissipating the heat. Large discs are best but add unsprung weight to the wheels and affect handling plus their mass tends to hold heat. Imagine cutting thru a disc sideways-it would look like the letter "I"-but what if it was smaller and resembled a wavy line-the diameter could be much smaller to achieve the same surface area thus reducing weight and mass meaning greater heat loss. Pads would take slightly longer to bed in but with floating pads and modern manufacturing this would be a minor problem. As far as I know no-one has tried this but I could be wrong.

I will take this if you will post (at my expense of course)

Take it back-needs a quick service as the inertia block is most likely dry-should be a 10 minute job. Do not attempt to repair it yourself as you could invalidate your warranty.

Dripping ceramic disc kitchen mixer tap - can they be repaired?
bruno22rf replied to malkiserow's topic in Off Topic
We bought cheap Aldi ceramic basin taps over 15 years ago-still not dripping and still look like new-on the other hand last year we did the kitchen and fitted a mixer tap from B&Q and all the chrome is falling off, most likely cos its leaks constantly. -
Isn't taking something that is legally yours theft? I would also want to know why he wanted to know about my cars contents-did he have reason to believe you were committing an offence? If so what offence? Can he state the law in question? Don't let him get away with it-make them bring the shells back or send a courier and let them pay.

Son in law nearly fell for a similar one-1 series BMW at a really good price-story was the owner had moved quickly to Italy with her work and had left the car in storage with instructions to sell asap-this "storage" company had its own mechanics who had serviced and checked the vehicle and were responsible for its condition and description. All we had to do was pay the full asking price and the car would be delivered by themselves as they also ran a transport business-any disputes concerning condition etc of the vehicle would then be passed on to the owner. Trouble was-they would not let us view the vehicle (the storage depot was in a really remote part of Scotland) and that there were no records of their transport company on the net-I google earthed the postcode for the depot and its a barren piece of land. Why can the police not catch these scumbags?

Cannot disagree on the marriage front evo-the divorce between my good self and my MK3 was acrimonious to say the least. As for the blueing-my MK3 barrel was not blued at all-it was hidden under a shroud and just as well-I cannot remember ever having seen such poor quality turning-and this was a barrel that your Father described as "one of the best they had ever had from Walther". You do get what you pay for but on the other hand my S410 is 7 years old and looks like new cos I wipe her over if she gets damp-even a Boss will deteriorate if you don't maintain it. If you continue to pick on AA guns evo,you will be off my Christmas card list AND I will tell your dad.
-
salop sniper-AA make every single piece of their guns apart from barrels (Lothar walther) and stocks (Minelli) the blacking/chemical treatment is also performed by a specialist company ( the S200 being the exception being made by CZ)-you don't spend thousands of pounds on CNC machinery then sub the work out.

I would buy the Air Arms-builders of Airguns not just assemblers

I don't get it-I had tyres fitted at Formula 1 last week and it took them over an hour-I didn't even get upset -in fact I spent some quality time with my daughter in Homebase while we waited. I don't know if there's a Homebase in Monaco but surely there are similar outlets?
-
Had exactly the same job a couple of weeks back-after spending hours with a chisel and hammer I picked up an SDS drill at B&Q for £17!!-it smashes them to pieces in seconds and I had so much fun doing it that I finally broke up some old concrete post bases that have been in the garden for years.

Cannot believe its still screened at prime time or indeed at all-did they dig up Wogan again this year?

Some of the nicest and most genuine people I know are Gay and I don't believe that I have the right to judge them or deny them the same chances of happiness that we all have-love is love wherever you find it-all the same I'm glad you left "I" out of the gay "marrage" heading.

Yep,Gunman-mine came with most of those but also with some kinda hairy fluff that sticks to the material like the proverbial-but I am still desperate for an empty oil bottle that leaks. The gun-a 1900-1904 Smallwood hammergun has been totally refurbished and looks nice in the case-even with the mysterious fluff so that's where she,s going to live-the accessories are not critical but would complete the project.
-
On the other hand I picked up a Brady case in vgc for less than £100 that could have been made for my gun- I,m guessing it was made about 30 years after my gun but heyho-managed to find a period turnscrew but cannot seem to find a correct size oil bottle to fit the case. There is a spare piece of lining that came with the case so I,ve been lucky on that score-but its hard to find what was originally in the case accessory wise?

You can sometimes find a decent case on fleabay-and Demonwolf444 makes trade labels that are simply superb-he needs to blow his own trumpet a bit more but he's not that kind of a guy.
