  1. I like David Jason-he's a nice chap.
  2. Get someone else to try the gun-if they get the same results then the only reasons could be bent barrels or a rib/barrel alignment problem.
  3. The coin belongs 100% to the landowner unless you have a previous agreement.
  4. Threw the last ones I had away-you may as well throw stones as opposed to the accuracy that the majority of high power .22 rounds deliver-unless. of course, you manage to get hold of RWS HV hollow points-now that's a different story.
  5. Why not ask the previous owner to take it back to the dealer that sold it-its their responsibility and it wont cost him.
  6. Any electric Daystate with a Weihrauch silencer on it-quieter than a gnats belch.
  7. The S410, for that little extra, would be a wiser choice-the S400 is superb in every aspect but there will be times (like when ratting) when a multi shot will be usefull. If you get a S400/410 let me know if you need a moderator-I have an AA jobby and the instruction manual;/fill adaptor for these guns laying around gathering dust-yours for the postrage (£5?)
  8. Semi's are good all rounders but as a beginner you might want to think about the safety aspect -its difficult to see if the gun is loaded and removing cartridges can be a chore-I think that an O/U multi would give you as much flexibility as you need when starting out with the bonus of simpler operation. If you can find a good Medalist or Win 101 sporter then I would say go for it-both are top end beginner/intermediate guns that you should get your money back on if you look after them. Whatever you decide, take your time and try as many as you can-good luck.
  9. Mmmmm, happyshooter, in a similar ilk I could stir my tea with a fork made of gold leaf because I can but I still fail to see the point. For a fraction of the price you could buy a slug firing semi 12g that is sooooo much fun to shoot-and that devastates brick walls.
  10. Really,al4x?-when you consider that a country like Iran has approx. 550,000?
  11. Are we not missing the point here?-our Armed forces are raped every year in the name of economy but who the hell can put a price on security?. A nation is only as strong as the forces that it commands and to further reduce our already weakened Armed forces is short sighted at best. This is a cruel world and things aint about to get better.
  12. Wow-I never thought of putting a Bale hide on top of my scope.
  13. Jeez EVO-you only need surround sound and you've got yourself a Cinema complex.
  14. I have to agree with Richi-the TX200 outperforms both guns on most counts, they are both great guns (though I always thought the 77 a little nose heavy) but the TX is just a gnats tadger better.
  15. No disrespect lister1-if its in his book (that he's trying to sell you) then it must be fact eh?
  16. While BG is out in the wilds facing every danger under the sun all alone-who is operating the camera and sound equipment? If he thinks he is really hard I challenge him to eat a Tesco 8 items for £2.50 breakfast without up chucking.
  17. Here's my baby, not had her long and she has spent too much time in the more than capable hands of R&K Stockcraft. This is the only gun that I have ever owned that I can rely on to shoot the plastic head off a pin at 20 metres if I do my job. To date - 2 pigeons and a crow have regretted my purchase .
  18. Just bought a Lenovo G580 (goes under several other numbers) last week and waiting for the courier to take it back. The touchpad is total pants so they can have it back-the replacement arrived yesterday and guess what? same problem.
  19. Understand 100% where you are coming from Blunderbus but its not that simple. Bin writing (black ) poetry for many years about a myriad of subjects that enter my life-the one for the little girl was written when I had too much time on my hands and just needed to burn daylight-I don't think that I had thought about her between the poem and after our "experiences" when I sat back and tried to make sense of the whole affair-it was only then that I realised that there may be a connection. I was a true sceptic until these events and even now I question what happened but there are things that just cannot be explained that make me think life isn't as simple as we may think-like why do I simply cry when I see young girls on horses? or see a Spitfire? Now theres something that only my closest friends knew until now !!

  21. Without boring you with all the details-never believed in "Ghosts" and spent many a pleasant hour mocking those who do. About 10 years ago whilst off work with Renal failure I came across the grave of an 11 year old girl in our local churchyard and wondered, had she been born in more modern times (she had died in 1810) if she could have been saved with modern medicine. After a while I wrote a short poem for her and left it on her grave then, in time, I forgot all about the event. A couple of years passed before strange events started to occur around the house-never anything scary but unusual. Something would go missing then turn up in the middle of a room, my son came downstairs one night and asked when the girl on his bed was going home because he couldn't get to sleep with her there and various other goings on that eventually culminated in me seeing the girl several times and the decision was finally made to seek help when both myself and my wife had a book thrown at us across an empty room-and it WAS thrown because it cleared a 5 foot long table before nearly hitting us. What struck me most in this whole affair was that our local Vicar was not in the least bit suprised when I approached him and he visited our house within days of contacting him. He told us that, in his opinion, the spirit of a child was resting in our house (I never told him about the girl) and that he would bless each room in an attempt to move the spirit on (he also added that, if he failed then there were specialists in nearby Oxford that he would contact to assist him) . Afterwards the whole house felt different-impossible to describe but just calmer and we have had no further events since. I don't expect anybody to believe me but the above is exactly what happened with no "poetic licence " added-it wasn't until after the whole affair that I remembered the poem and the girl in the Graveyard.
  22. I'll give you a fiver and a nearly full packet of wine gums.
  23. I wrote few weeks back, after buying a Daystate MK3,that I would post my findings after I had a bit more time to evaluate the gun-I have argued for years that the D/state range are over priced and over complicated. This topic seems the ideal opportunity to reveal my opinion.First question is-is it twice the gun that my AA S400 was? -No is the harsh answer but then the AA guns take a shed load of beating so maybe that's a bridge too far.The only way to experience a Daystate and to understand what they are all about is to buy one and live with it. In the few short weeks that I have owned her, the MK3 has spent more time in the repair shop than all the guns that I have ever owned (30+) put together and at times I have considered smashing the thing to pieces and yet it still manages to find a place in my heart. After spilling pellets backwards into the action (needing a strip down) and jamming up then clipping the moderator and sending pellets to all four corners of the world she finished one shooting session with a constant array of beeps and flashing lights that saw my first hangover for years. The very next day saw her redeem herself by producing a 10 shot ragged one hole group at 35 yards. So my vote is for the MK3-owning one is like joining a family and factory back up is beyond reproach, The feeling of pride when slipping these guns out of a case is a lot of the pleasure of ownership so maybe they are,in fact, good value-I will admit that its the only gun that I have "missed" while I was away for a few days-sad or what?.
  24. "Shooting empty beer cans WITH THE WIFE in the garden"- can I ask what calibre she is? And can I come round and see how she handles?
