  1. Its a job to know what we could have threatened them with-most of our Armed forces are now part time and the rest, at this time of year, are on holiday in Ibiza. We could borrow the Vulcan I suppose or ask the French to lend us a ship but I fear that our aggressive capability is restricted to withdrawing Marmite and Milk powder. If they really want the west to get involved they would be wise to start drilling for oil.
  2. Nice one! Gun saved from the scrapheap, hopefully she will give good service for many years.
  3. We have 2 Chooks and 2 Bantams(they're the noisiest)-we get 2-3 eggs every day and the quality is amazing-nothing like a Supermarket "free range" egg. We don't have a massive garden but cope by moving the coop/run every 2 days-washing the droppings into the grass each time keeps the smell at bay and feeds the grass. I would suggest that, unless you really like Ducks eggs, Chooks are your best bet-contact the Hen Welfare people and they arrange collection days for ex layers-you just give a donation which is cheaper than the near £20 that most Garden Centres charge.
  4. Strange how different people get such different treatment from the same companies-Daystate could not have been more helpful when I spoke to them about buying a second hand MK3-chatted on the phone for 15 minutes about all things MK3-yet when I sent an email to AA suggesting a really cheap way of making their bolts "lock down" I never even received a reply.
  5. Use some of the cash left to replace the MK5 silencer-its pants.
  6. Spent many months buying Dysons from the local dumps and fixing them b4 selling them on so I know the machines inside out-if you don't have carpets buy a Henry and run it without the bag-if you do have carpets buy a broken DC07 with brush control from tinternet and call Dyson out for a service-£70 for a complete replacement of any part that's worn or broken (inc the motor) gets you a good suck for under a ton.
  7. TBH I think that you would be wiser to approach landowners with the offer of pigeon shooting with your shotguns first-IMHO the majority of farmers consider Airguns as little more than toys and they need people who can move/kill pigeons effectively, Airgun permission would be a later addition. NOT anti puffgun-I love using them but experience has taught me well. Welcome to the forum btw
  8. I cannot see any reason why Daystate would need to "tune" your rifle as its so new. If the gun goes wrong(as it has)then their obligation is to rectify the fault and no more. However-if you were experiencing accuracy issues with the gun it would be wise to mention the fact-they can kill 2 birds with one stone. If I were Daystate, however, and one of my products had let you down I would at least offer you a free service when it becomes due-there has to be some advantages to buying a premium gun that then lets you down in this way.
  9. Put prune juice and Coconut liqueur in the traps-I'm killing over 500 a day at the moment-had a Hornet today-so strong we had to block the holes off and kill it thru the glass with a Magnifying glass
  10. There was little wrong with the F104 Starfighter-the reputation for crashing was not gained thru poor aerodynamics nor build quality. The Americans simply did not store the planes well enough to prevent deterioration of the airframes/avionics.
  11. You can buy Wasp nest destroyer from most Supermarkets now so just wait till its dark and squirt the nest-the cans have a couple of metres range so you don't need to be up close and personal. If you don't you are asking for more nests and increase the chances of you or anyone nearby of being stung.
  12. Went out in a boat whilst at Tenby a few weeks back-had to move 3 times before we caught anything-Boat owner reckons its the worst year he's ever had.
  13. I have both Shotgun and FAC and have never been asked to fit an alarm-I store Black Powder outside in a shed, however, and was asked to fit an alarm to the shed door-cost a Tenner from B&Q and the FEO was happy with it.
  14. Yet another cutting edge post from Pinkie-jeez this forum is getting more like a soap box for high speed Fudge Dragons every day.
  15. Check with your insurance company that your premium will not rise next year-mine did after a total non fault bump in a car park.
  16. A limited edition rifle from Daystate?-now who would have thought it?
  17. £25 but I would only sell it to a 51 year old school caretaker that lived near Milton Keynes-wait a minute-I think I know one that will take it off your hands
  18. I have 2 tubs of the above-both full if anybody wants them and can collect in Milton Keynes area-pm me and they're yours.
  19. If you are happy that your pump is removing as much moisture as the equipment found at a dive centre then carry on-you are certain that its all BS so why bother with all the "hassle" of carrying a tank-that's if testing every 5 years and paying £2-3 for a fill maybe 4-5 times a year is too much of an inconvenience. I guess that you spent a considerable amount on your rifle why not give it the best air?
  20. I broke down on a motorcycle a couple of years back and called the AA. Despite telling them that I needed to get home by 8:00 pm (it was about 5 o'clock when I called them) because of drugs that I need to take following a transplant they didn't even turn up till 9:30. The engineer had almost no experience with motorcycles (turned out to be an air lock in the fuel line) and had to eventually call for a recovery truck-I got home after midnight and was admitted into hospital the next morning for intravenous drug therapy. I use the RAC now and have had no problems- I buy petrol from Tesco and the club card points pay for the top level of cover-you only need about £60 in points to get nearly £200 worth of cover.
  21. A machine that falls apart after 2 years is no problem-in the UK we haver the best consumer rights concerning white goods in Europe-up to 7 years, in fact. Ignore all the extended warranty Bullplop and keep your receipt then check out your consumer rights-virtually any machine that fails in the first 3-4 years (as long as it has been subjected to "reasonable" use) is covered under your consumer rights.
