  1. Call them wot you like but call them near enough to kill with your shotgun-more than enough gun at sensible ranges .
  2. I was a Fursty Ferret fan till i visited the Brewery-theres no tradition or pride in any Badger Ales-its a commercial chemical plant.Hobgoblin is the king.
  3. Jeez-what a load of tosh, being a child of that era I'm glad things have moved on.Mind you,Sky is still showing most of that stuff.
  4. Think carefully before getting rid of any equipment-unless you are 100% sure you will never need it again.Practice with your current gun while you save for a better one. There are many ways to make money if you are shrewd-bit of weeding here or grass cutting there soon adds up (try going to car boot sales then selling the items on Ebay)-designer clothing can easily treble your money if not more (I bought a Suzuki "Relentless" sweatshirt for £1 and sold it for £36 on the bay).Be patient,if you are determined you will do it and the gun will mean so much more to you if you have earned it the hard way-everything comes to he who waits
  5. Make sure you take the plugs out and drip about a teaspoon of oil down each bore, then turn the engine over without the ignition on using the kickstart if it has one.I would think long and hard about spending any money on it cos 250's are not popular since the 125 law came in.I'm guessing the engine is the same as the Z250-not a good unit even out of the crate.
  6. Its quite ironic,Capital Bee,that you should suggest a piddling highest up the wall competition because in January I had a Uretheraplasty operation so I am well up for the battle-I can now put out fires at 10 paces. With a decent spring and O ring coming in at less than £30 (this is assuming that the gun even needs one) and a Mercury costing around the £100 mark (unless its the "S" of course) I would still go for any quality gun over anything that SMK had ever made.I agree that we agree to dissagree but I'm dead keen to come over and find a wall
  7. I agree with Mole,if you spent enough money on it then it could be made to work but you would be wiser to buy a second hand rifle that was built to run at 12ft/lb or higher.Having dealt with Turkish engineering companies I would'nt touch any of their guns but a lot of people on here rate them so it might be worth having a look.Otherwise, set yourself a budget (realistically it needs to be at least £150) and have a look on Guntrader.Anything that catches your eye- you can ask for opinions on this site before you commit to buy but dont hang around cos good guns sell fast .There's a BSA Mercury on the site for £100-if its in good condition then thats a bargain, theres also an Annie 335 thats been on there for ages-not many people have experience with these guns which is a shame because ,with a little tuning, they will match 99% of springers on the market. The Original/Diana 45 is also a heck of a lot of gun that is cheap second hand-maybe because its not too kind on the eye but its a potent tool and very under- rated.Shop around and take your time-thats half the fun of buying a gun
  8. My lad has an early 20g Escort and it deffo has an O ring inside the cap.,
  9. Mate of mine does his sheep with a .22lr against the head.I think that humane killers are .22 lr?
  10. Well Capital Bee,lets have a quick, and I mean quick, scan of Guntrader to see what £170 would buy me.Theres a nice Mercury and several Airsporters to start but the one that jumps out for me would be the Annie 335-stupidly accurate and will still be shooting long after we have all gone.As a bonus none of these guns would need any tuning other than a spring and washer perhaps and no need to fettle the triggers.
  11. I agree with imissalot, but lets be brutaly honest here.If you are going to start spending money on,what is a budget gun, would you not be better off putting the money away towards upgrading your rifle?Any money spent on this type of gun is lost when you come to sell it as buyers for these rifles tend to be looking for value-a mod might make it easier to sell but any financial gain is questionable.Theres hundreds of good guns out there and its a buyers market so ,if I were you,I would start planning to buy another gun.
  12. You can see its not an ejector,Oldschool, the clue is in the lack of ejectors
  13. That really sucks mate-there is nothing that anybody can do or say that will make this any easier so be brave and be there for her-I hope she finds comfort and slips away with dignity-my thoughts are with you both.
  14. God Bless her-she had more balls than any other Prime minister in recent history. Not everybody will agree with her policies but no-one can deny her tenacity under pressure and her dogged determination to do what she believed to be right.
  15. Not sure how popular "grassing up" a fellow PW member would make you? Might be an interesting experiment-but would guess a lonely one
  16. Some cars have a seperate key that turns the alarm on/off via a switch under the bonnet. If your fusebox is the standard one with 35 fuses then the third one on the top row, counting from the RIGHT will turn the thing off if you remove it,but it turns off dash lights etc as well-google 2003 corsa owners manual-its all there.
  17. Both groups are simply products of media hype. One of my uncles (rip Trevor) went to a Beatles concert in London when the group hit the big time,he said that they were so bad that hundreds of people were walking out (him included) and that the press were taking pictures of the "fans" leaving-next days headlines "Hundreds of fans waiting outside as concert sold out"-nuff said.
  18. I doubt that anybody has,Krugerandsmith, which makes me wonder why people panic so much.As for the cammo at ranges/fairs I dont mind it-but when I was asked not to wear it I was walking along an un classified road about 30 yards from the gate into my permission.
  19. Going against my previous advice -get a tent cos I love that warm.cosy feeling you get sat in a caravan in a heavy downpour watching people in tents panic
  20. Sue the fools for wrongfull arrest and theft of your goods+charge them rental on everything they are holding that legally belongs to you.
  21. Mk1 Man-I have a Shogun that has displayed a red engine warning light twice-on both occasions I had the car diagnostics checked and no faults were found in the memory. If you have warning lights for flat tyres (on cars with run flats) a red light normally tells you--even after the tyre is replaced the light remains on-you have to reset it manually (a few dealers out there tell you that your ABS sensor is u/s due to your tyre running flat and charge you for a new one-they then just reset the thing) I'm guessing there are other times when a red light stays on.....
  22. You would be mad to do this to a red light but with an orange most garages have a laptop with the software to turn the light off-if you drive carefully the light should stay off long enough for the car to pass its mot-my local mechanic charges a fiver.
  23. If you are worried about them coming in your house I cannot help but wonder if you dogs are not a little "light on their toes"-what have you got Chihuahua's?
  24. We looked into getting one and some are reallyt nice but at the end of the day they are not much of a step forward than a tent.I would buy a small caravan (you've kinda missed the best time to buy one)-with a TT if you arrive somewhere and get 3 days of rain you're gonna get wet.Caravans are more convenient and easier to keep warm plus,if you store it at a caravan site, you could rent out a few weeks to your mates during the season. If you get a TT look for one that tips on its side-saves a lot of storage problems.Whatever you get insure it-the ,erm, travelling community seem drawn to caravans like the scum...sorry,like a moth to a flame.
  25. Turn your puter on and let the virus page come on screen.Turn your puter off using the power on/off button (not via the screen). When you restert it should offer you the option to start in SAFE mode-take it.Once the puter has loaded in safe-key in "recover your computer"into the "search for programs" box-you should be given an option to reset your computer to an earlier date-pick a date prior to the virus and let the system reset itself-job done-I'm on Win7 and used this method loads of times but sometimes you have to do it twice?
