  1. Someone told me years ago that Brut aftershave works-I use it in the summer and I have never been bitten by anything-could be a coincidence but I'm going to stick with it.
  2. Just over 8 years ago, in Portsmouth, a 21 year old girl died of a brain haemorrhage. She was carrying a donor card and her parents knew of her wishes. By a one in a million chance her tissue type was practically identical to mine and, after a 14 hour operation I received her Kidney and Pancreas. I think of her most days and light a candle at our church for her every year on the day that she died. I will not bore you with the full details of my medical history or the trauma of over a year in recovery because those who are not willing to donate will never change their minds, but might I suggest that unless YOU have been in a situation where death is the only alternative to transplantation, you are a little blinkered.
  3. Welsh1-no worries-we both share the same opinion.
  4. Welsh1-in response to your request to see my donor card-after 30 years of Diabetes,A heart attack,A stroke,A double transplant,CMV + the myriad of problems that the previous conditions bring with them, I doubt that the Medical profession want anything of mine, however, during my second bout of Scepticemia earlier this year, when things looked dire for me, I asked my Consultant if he would consider removing my transplanted organs before I died because heart beat organs are far more successful-so you are right, I don't carry a card, but my wishes are well documented.
  5. I don't understand why people can consider this a "Big Brother" or Government run abuse of our rights, where's the advantage to any government/medical organisation? The cost of transplantation is huge and the only beneficiary is the recipient and their families, not the authorities. I think that opting out is cowardly, when you're dead you're dead-end of.
  6. Are you not worried about the crows pecking at your dogs eyes?
  7. Done it a few times but its not really much of an advantage because you don't need game/vermin to be flushed and with an Airgun you tend to hit and kill or miss cleanly and the target legs it. If you had a good quality, well trained dog, then you may see some benefit but the best dogs are trained for shotgun use and you would run the risk of ruining a quality animal. If you are just out for a laugh then yes, but for serious work clearing vermin I would leave Fido at home.
  8. Might be worth checking fleabay for prices i.e. the Nikon D200 sells for under £200.Your D300 normally more like £450 min.
  9. Get well soon m8. I know its a real pain having to keep going in hospital, sometimes there doesn't seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel. Keeping your mind occupied is the hardest thing in the world when you lay in bed clock watching all day, I find the boredom far worse than physical pain. Try making a list of things that you're going to do when you get home and get some good reading material. If the food is bad once you are allowed it then tell them you are Muslim-you get a different menu.
  10. "It was musical Necrophilia"-brilliant
  11. Simples-RWS subs and HV HP if you can get them-both rounds will out shoot you-Eley are a close second.
  12. The most worrying thing is that some people seem surprised that the Stones are Carp-they always have been, people are blinded by the image-the music is a mediocre at best.
  13. Thanks for the intro ,ANGOF, never come across MrDaveratz before but spent nearly an hour watching the clips. To my mind these are up with the best Airgun shooting clips on the net-the guy uses a sub 12ft/lb gun and shoots the same quarry that most of us do. I also like the lack of editing-this is how most people speak in the real world and Dave calls a spade a spade if that's what it is and doesn't pander to the concerns of those who consider swearing a crime. Great clips, Dave, now go and show the rest how its done
  14. Ow mutch u finkin, goodo123, cud b inntrested.
  15. I'm with NIGHT SEARCHER-get it checked out cos what you have there is a slowly corroding bomb. I'm guessing that you bought it privately? If the cylinder is deemed ok you might consider having the metalwork dipped in cammo-I've seen this model done this way and it looks good.
  16. Try tying a piece of string to the corner of your wifes pillow and feed the other end under the bed to your side. After about 10 minutes give the string a couple of sharp tugs then lay back and enjoy the hysterics. Worked a treat for me .
  17. The newer Supa lites are Ambi-some dealers on Guntrader don't seem to realise so it might be worth looking thru?
  18. David James efforts seem far more professional to me and are a joy to watch-his English is also better. I think that he is a bit like a modern Jack Hargreaves-if he were a bird I think he would be an Owl-whereas Si would remain a TIT.
  19. Gotta love the system- In the last 5 years I have been burgled and had nearly a grands worth of tools nicked, 3 years ago my Caravan was stolen then last month some low life cut the Cat off my Shogun (about £700 to replace). The police have not bothered to solve any of these crimes and then last week I got a ticket for doing 2mph over the limit (35 in a 30). I think that, if it were possible, they offered me the option of removing my contribution to the police that is included in my council tax, in return I would not call the police or rely on their help, I would tick the box.
  20. There are far too many variables to be able to say that your friend may be terminally ill. Crohn's is well known for being severe for a while but then disappearing again. Your description does sound, however like his case is severe.
  21. Do yourself a favour and get a TX200 in .177 flavour-if you can find a dealer that has the HW97 and the TX in stock then go and try them both and buy the best of the 2. Enjoy your TX
  22. mr bangstick-theres too many lovers of pussy on here to moan about them but I agree with what you say. As for pigeons in my garden, I have a policewoman living next door to me but if I want to shoot a pigeon in my garden then I will. If the law is an *** then why should I be any different, I am sick to death of nosey Yoghurt knitting do-gooders telling me what I can or cannot do. The last pigeon that landed in my garden was sizzling in butter within 5 minutes of its feet touching Terra Firma.
