As the other half fell ill just before TG started ,I got to see it fresh, great show-fell asleep halfway thru the Zonda article as I did'nt manage to do any overtime last month and cannot afford the £800k price tag.Show has long since been relavent to the vast majority of people, will not bother again .

Had an idea a couple of years back but never followed it up-feel free to go with it if you think its sound. On the bay you can buy "weasel balls"-a tennis ball sized ball with a piece of string fitted to it that has a fur "weasel" attached. The ball is battery operated and rolls around in different directions giving the impression that the weasel is playing with (or attacking?) the ball.If the ball were covered in fur and switched on in the open along with a rabbit squeeler nearby,I reckon the crows would go bonkers near it?

To my mind this is an Airgun.A normal bow imparts its energy directly to the arrow-this becomes the projectile, but the Airowgun propels a piston that then fires a pellet as a secondary event.I cannot recall any law that denotes how air must be compressed in order for a weapon to be an Airgun?

Theres some good clips on youtube-go on Huntersvermin site

I think that they should film things that are relative to the average joe-like which is the best Coupe for under £120k and maybe they could show the advantages of different forms of transport on routes that are popular with commuters, like London to Monte Carlo.Howabouts Clarkson drives a bog standard family car (like a XKR-S) while the other boys go by jet then high speed train and then, when it looks like its going to be close, the only form of transport left is a Pogo stick thus allowing Jeremy, for once, the chance of winning.Enjoy the programe but since reading many of JC's books where he vents his disgust at infidelity,he has lost his credibility with me.

No offence Kent, but I would love to see a picture of that

Well done to all that have named the shop in question-we all have our various opinions and often enter heated debates to back them up but when a member gets terrible service like this we can at least unite and benefit from it as well as,hopefully, hitting the guilty party in the wallet.I will not deal with them.

Of course full choke will do the job,as would extra full, but you are putting yourself at a disadvantage. The vast majority of well decoyed pigeons will fall to a gun with no more than a 1/4 choke with average ranges of 25-40 yards. All a tightly choked gun will do is put more pellets into a smaller area meaning that birds are harder to hit and more like mincemeat when you do.If your fieldcraft skills are up to scratch then I dont see any need to use the limited advantage that a full choked gun would give you in increased range,my Browning(multi)is set at 1/4 and 1/2 for most of its life but I have used a gun with cylinder and 1/4 for many years with no problems. If I had a semi with fixed choke as my only gun I would get it bored out to 1/2 choke.

Why ,on earth, would anyone spend all that money on an Airgun when you can buy a far more suitable powder burner for a fraction of the price. When you compare the Wolverine on a pounds per ft/lbs scale it does'nt look such a wise buy.I.m guessing that you could buy a 12g gun capable of firing slugs for the price of the Wolverines recoil pad,and I know for sure which gun I would rather be standing behind when an angry porker decides that your gonads are a great place to polish his tusks.BTW-a 12g slug is easily capable of producing over 2k ft/lb of energy.

Try before you buy if you are considering spending over £700 on an Airgun that will ,at best, only marginally outperform one that costs £200 less(and thats a reasonable scope paid for),I agree that the Daystates are superb rifles but at sub 12ft/lb its more to do with owning a top marque gun than a better one.The bolt action may be as smooth as a Baboons ball bag but that counts for nothing 40 yards down the lane where Roger the Rabbit is sitting,I had a Logun pro 2 that ,according to the majority of critics, had the smoothest bolt ever on an Airgun-but I could'nt hit a barn door with it.IMHO Daystate have lost the plot with 100 ft/lb and electronic triggers, they seem to make money by bringing out several limited edition rifles each year in small batches so that collectors pay over the odds to have one-but thats just my opinion. In 99% of the situations you will encounter whilst shooting the 410 will match anything that the Daystate is capable of.Tin hat on.....

How To Get Pigeons To Roost In A Certain Area
bruno22rf replied to lou13's topic in Pigeon Shooting Tips
Apart from trays of seeds and an MP3 playing lullabies you wont do this in winter cos the birds need shelter/warmth to survive.During the summer months, however, you should be able to pull them towards your wood with lofted decoys-when the weather is warm pigeons tend to simply roost close to where they end up at sunset. They still like to be hidden though,so if you wood is full of dead/bare trees they wont stay long but I'm guessing you only want them to fly in once. -
BEWARE OF ANIMAL AID TACTICS....
bruno22rf replied to danspence2012's topic in General Shooting Matters
Thanks Animal Aid-I did'nt realise that Golden Plovers were fair game-gonna blast a few just for you. -
Derestricters? Power commanders and customised mapping?-******* hell,I cant even get both my eyes to point the same way under full accelaration on a standard set up.

I hate the things with a passion-most owners seem to be dried up old spinsters with no intentions of learning how much damage these creatures do.I went to a party last summer where the house owner (a policewoman) was explaining how much affection her cat gives her,she went on to explain about all the birds the cat brings into the house "some of them are such pretty colours" I had to leave.Saying that,I would nit harm one

My apologies r.e. the CNC reference/suggestion-I thought the op wanted to make a gun.I missed the bit where he said he would like to make it as hard as possible for himself........silly me.

Pretty sure that all S200's are Ambi, tbox.Best bet is to try before making up your mind-unless the gun has a really pronounced cheekpiece then you can get away with it.A lot of guns are advertised on guntrader as RH but are actually Ambi-Air Arms SL's proper BSA's (meteor, mercury etc) If I was looking for a decent gun at the mo I would hold out for an Original 45-Ambi stocks and a classic of the future.

You would need a CNC mill and engineering experience surely? Shame really cos 10 years ago I would have machined it for you if you had drawings.

Theres a chap just outside our village that buys the £7 kits from Ebay and charges £200 to apply it for you.He has most of the websites on the net-different company names that all lead back to him and he seems to do well out of it,nice Range Rover, wife has a new X5 daughter goes to private dance school. My daughter has used these kits a couple of times and they seem pretty good to me as long as your teeth are in reasonable condition to start with.

Buy stuff from local car boot sales and put it on Ebay-wont make you rich but with experience you can make a few bob.We do this as a family sometimes-we all go out with £20 each and buy then whoever makes the most money on reselling gets a prize-silly but it teaches you and your kids the value of money.Last time out I bought a childs "Relentless Suzuki" sweatshirt for £1 that went on the bay for £32.

Got a mint K2 that scares me witless-noticed the other day that you can buy derestricters for them-jesus wept, they are restricted??

There is,in my opinion, very little common ground between cars and bikes. The majority of cars are for transport while bikes seem to be an expensive toy. There are exceptions of course but there is little that can beat the sight or sound of a Superbike ticking over in front of you as you get your kit on-the Adrenalin is waiting for you-the amount is controlled by your right hand.Bin biking for 33 years and I honestly dont know how I would feel without a bike-you dont even need to ride it sometimes, just seeing her there is a buzz.

Got 2 feeders out with Sunflower hearts-filling them twice /day the last few days-the Finches etc sit on the feeders while the bigger birds wait underneath for the spills. This year is the first time we have put feeders out since next doors cat slaughtered most of the birds a couple of years back-including a pair of Blackcaps

Faced a similar event a couple of years ago-my employer was guilty of a breach of contract but my Solicitor advised me that ,unless I quit work (because of the stress caused) then he could not sue for any damages/loss of earnings. The document the OP needs is the disciplinary procedure "toolkit for managers" or their equivalent-it should be available one way or another. My case was with a Council who employed me and the manager concerned was lucky not to have been sacked.

garygreengrass's suggestion is a good idea and very easy-tell your doc that you cannot sleep etc and a note is a good bonus-threaten legal action as soon as your company screws up-but you would need to quit your job for the biggest payout.
