  1. Awaiting delivery of a second hand gun as above but cant find much info on the gun-anybody got one or opinions on one they had?+ whats happened to Logun? All info gratefully recieved.
  2. Anyone out there trying to sell one of the above with a left hand stock?-be MUCH easier with a right hander and i,m after a straight swap-my right for your left.p.m. me if interested
  3. O.K.-similar thing happened to me a couple of months ago-and the gun i posted was Tracked. The darlings at the PO told me that they couldnt track my gun because it had gone missing!!!!!In the end i rang the customer services manager and explained that my "firearm" had gone missing and that the police wanted to investigate how such an event could happen-i told him i requuired his direct number and clarification of exactly how to spell his name so that he could be contacted by my local CID officers.I dont know to this day if it worked or not but after nearly a month of waiting and worrying the gun was delivered before 8:00am the next morning. No Bull.
  4. Possibly more subtle to buy a plastic syringe from a chemists and inject water into his door locks.
  5. I think the difference between a £200 and a £400 unit can be matched by using different tablets-i find that the "finish" tablets are poor concidering the price-I wouldnt spend more than about £70 on a decent used machine and feed it Aldi own brand tablets-I can count on one hand the dishes that have needed cleaning twice since i bought my Bosch second hand and used these tablets.
  6. I would guess that the bolt is,nt designed to take recoil-rather it just holds the action e.t,c, down into the woodwork.Somewhere along the line the stock must have a vertical face/s that hold the recoil on firing-has one of these broken/rotted away?-compare the stocks carefully-if one has worn or broken it could be repaired with epoxy resin or bedding compound.
  7. Buy a used one from gumtree or similar-second hand values are pants and you can get real bargains-my last 2 year old Bosch was £35.
  8. These were fantastic guns with a unique rifling that meant the pellet was only gripped and spun once it had expanded to a perfect seal.Should,nt admit it but i,ve seen a fox shot stone dead with a 45 a few years back.Im giving up airgunning otherwise i would take it-should sell for well over the ton to anyone who knows the gun.
  9. Hold the bolt in your left hand with the firing pin facing away from you-with your right hand lift the bolt handle as you would if it was in the gun-as the handle lifts it will pull the firing pin back until it clicks into place.
  10. Looking for shot and powder flasks suitable for 12g shotgun-repro is fine.
  11. Dont envy you mate-it must be very hard to let a friend go after so long-hope you find her someone who will give her the care she needs ;)Ignore comments that suggest this is some kind of abandonment-it must be far harder to let her go and i,m sure you have the dogs best interests at heart.

    Airgun BBS

A certain airgun website had a video clip of a guy shooting a rabbit that had panicked and jumped into a freezing lake in an attempt to swim to a small island in the middle. The poor creature soon realised it could never make it so turned back towards the shore-the shooter was holding his gun in one hand and a camera in the other as he walked towards the rabbit thus preventing its escape- he then shot the poor thing as it started drowning.I could,nt really decide what to do so i asked for other peoples opinion on another airgun site that i was also a member of.Before i knew what was happening i was banned from the site and threatened with the same treatment by the second!!! It became obvious that the owners/mods of both sites were good chums so as a parting shot i informed site number 2 that i had copied the clip and was submitting it to the RSPCA-then all hell really broke loose-with both sies accusing ME of damaging the sport,
  16. RWS subs and high vel IMHO will equal most rimfire rounds on the market-where precision engineering is concerned the germans take some beating.

    12 bore

Got a ugartechea ( reasonable spanish maker ) 12g sxs with 27"-1/4 & 3/4 chokes non ej-double trigger that i would let go for £80 + postage Superb gun has never let me down and is nice looking and handles well. p.m. me for any details-im in Bucks.
  18. If you dont like the price then dont go-simples.Elby is a top bloke and has spent years building up his shoot for himself and anyone who wants a go-he aint gonna get rich at this price so why hassle him?
  19. What type of speed do they travel at?-doesn,t that depend on the power of the gun firing them?-the ones i,ve seen locally are,nt moving at all-do yourself a favour and buy Air Arms or any well known quality pellet.
  20. Right then-just out of warranty means almost jack-take it back to where you bought it and tell them ,in no uncertain terms, that the 12 month warranty is not what you are concerned with-under the 1979 sale of goods act goods must be "fit for purpose" and of "reasonable quality"(depending upon various criteria including price)-a microwave of less than 2 years old is not of a suitable standard to qualify for either of the above requirements. If they refuse to play ball you need to contact your local trading standards office and CAB to move the casr forward -dont take no for an answer.
