  1. 22 this season, been a bad year with police messing us around.973.
  2. Honestly, move your trap closer to neighbour number 2, explain that if he didn't complain then it must be somebody the other side of your land and, knowing that he is not the complaining type, you know he wont mind.
  3. Cannot believe the police can sit and watch this happening, trespass is civil until you refuse to leave if asked then it becomes aggravated trespass surely, these idiots are holding people to ransom, what's next water because they don't agree with sewage in the rivers ? Stop the police sitting in their cars persecuting motorists for going 5mph over the limit or sitting in the middle lane on a Motorway and get these parasites moved and fined.
  4. The police seem to be a little more relaxed on granting FAC air as opposed to RF/CF, as long as you have a sensible reason and you are not going for something along the lines of 303 cal puff cannon then you should be alright. Don't forget the downsides though, increased Air use, increased security, increased Ammo cost if you go down the slug route. I have an FAC S510 running at 30ftlbs and a sub 12 Air rifle, the sub 12 comes out to play more often than the FAC at a ratio of around 50:1.
  5. UPDATE....received my renewed certificate today, included was a letter confirming my change of address??? A form asks for details of my new security details, it's all been posted to my current address (lived here near 30 years) and their records MUST show this???
  6. It was a poke at the odd names they call their furniture!
  7. I think you meant to say that their customer service is "forskracklig", Abysmal is a small book unit I think.
  8. Unfortunately it's all gone, nobody took a picture!!! Well worth the money though, you have my word.
  9. Well impressed with the above, you can print any photo onto a cake, even add things like boss eyes or big teeth, and the result is well worth the £12 charged, the cake is also superb.
  10. I've had a Range Rover for 4 years but I'm on a very low income, come have a go at my tyres, when the Dog has finished with you I will start.
  11. A bit of research makes it look like it may be a mistake on the picture if you google it, the gun might be a "Brevettato", built in the 60's by Pedersoli (who worked for Beretta previously) and only made "normal" shotguns for about 10 years before switching to replicas etc.
  12. That's the kiddy, £200 on G'trader.
  13. Never seen such a gun before but there's one for sale on Guntrader, they say it's a sideplate but it clearly isn't and I'm pretty sure it's a Prevettato ( translates as "anticipation") anybody ever heard of one before?
  14. Maybe they have upgraded their stocks? I bought my Sceptre around 2-3 years ago in 28G and every gun that I saw at that time had the stock made of several pieces of Walnut bonded together, it's often done really well and not obvious at first glance but, if you looked closely, you can see the join lines. A local dealer had one that was terrible, you could see the join as plain as day and even feel it with your hand.
  15. Not common with other makers no, but every KOFS that I've seen has been so, saw one last year where the grain was running in different directions and it felt awful. I would suggest that anybody buying a KOFS does so after viewing the gun, there's nothing wrong with the practice as it keeps the price down and does the job (replacement Walnut stocks are £70 ish for KOFS) but if you can pick a gun with a nice stock then why not. The example for sale here has stunning wood for a gun of this price.
  16. That's an unusual example, most have stocks made up of Walnut off cuts bonded together (often poorly miss matched) but this one seems like it may have been made for a purpose, maybe a display gun?
  17. Alarms are not compulsory even if you have a large amount of guns, you can put them in several cabinets, in some cases where local cases of burglary are common your FEO can suggest an alarm but, afaik, it is not a legal requirement in any circumstances for private storage.
  18. Many mitigating thoughts on breed type/ compulsory Insurance and Chipping etc but it all boils down to the absolute stupidity of leaving a toddler alone with a Dog, who knows what the child was doing at the time of the attack? Not defending the Dog but any animal will attack if it considers itself under threat, the child could have been taking food from it's bowl or trying to ride it like a horse whilst poking it in the eyes, anything is possible. But tragedy aside, the parent responsible for the child's care should face prosecution.
  19. How bad life has gotten when you have no choice but to put your confidence in a lying, self indulgent, money grabbing waste of Oxygen. I voted him in, in the belief that he was mad enough to make life better, which he has, but only for himself and his ilk.
  20. Try the Aldi flour, it's a fraction of the price (60p/1.5kg!!) and every bit as good as anything else you can buy, try my previous recipe on rapid (1hr55mins) but also try using Olive Oil instead of butter to reduce salt. For wholemeal (60p/1.5kg Aldi) same cycle but 350 grams wholemeal 150 grams white, 350ml water and 25 grams of butter instead of Olive Oil, makes a stunning loaf. I always use a level teaspoon of flour improver in all my loaves.
  21. Both my parents worked and we went to school no matter what we were suffering from, my mother actually told us that if we couldn't walk she would carry us to school. In all my school days, primary and secondary, I was off sick for 5 days when I collapsed with Diabetes in secondary and 1 day in junior school for emotional reasons when my best friend died running to the canteen at lunchtime.

    John Bercow

From my personal experience I have nothing but admiration for the man. Long time ago (17 years) I suffered Renal failure and lost my job as an engineer, I was put on job seekers but my Doctor would not sign me fit for work so the ridiculous process of applying for jobs that I knew my Doctor would prevent me from taking started. I underwent a medical at the DHSS local office and the Doctor there said I could work, for example, in a car park checking tickets etc so deemed me fit for work, but my GP still refused to sign me fit. In desperation I made an appointment with Mr Bercow (our local MP at the time) and the man was a godsend, within weeks I had a letter from the DHSS apologising for their harsh treatment and accepting me as long term disabled, but Bercow had not finished, with his guidance we took the DHSS to court and successfully sued for professional incompetence and they were made to pay just over £4k in damages. So I like the man, he saved my life in a way.
  23. I've been driving with my one eye for 23 years. Appealing to DVLA rarely seems successful looking on the internet, DVLA give a number to ring for advice but I've been ringing that for the 8 months that they took to process my application for renewal and never got through. Might give CAB a try but legal route is impossible for me, my various disabilities prevent me from working anymore and I get £59/week from DHSS. Thank you for all your sympathy and support, it helps more than you might know.
  24. Annoying thing is, Mice, that my eyesight is better than most people that I know. I lost an eye 20+ years ago and recently DVLA have seemed hell bent on revoking my licence. I can read a car plate at twice the required distance and that should be enough (more than for a normal person), but DVLA (who still send me Diabetic questionnaire's every year despite me being cured 16 years ago) make me jump through several different hoops that few people have to - they even booked me into the local hospital ophthalmic clinic from which I was discharged in 2016. To my mind this is Disability discrimination, they have found a blind spot but they say that if I can prove I have adapted they will reconsider but if my licence is returned it will be provisional!! Till this happened I had been driving every day, riding my Ducati 900 at weekends and have full no claims on both.
