  1. Nooooooòooo! never ever ever never let bitches or dogs in your workshop!(Golden rule no.1) Hope you get it sorted....
  2. That confirms what I'd heard about 1oz. lee slug mold👍 Was planning on trying these too....imported from states, made by BPI, supposed to be stable in flight due to the fixed wad acting as a tail. I shoot a marlin 1894 .357 U/L rifle but struggle to get any accuracy with it past 50yrds with my home load cast. Tryed gas checks, different lubes, weights etc.no luck.
  3. What's your solid slug recipe if you don't mind sharing? How accurate are the (lee?) slugs, is one better than other? Nice workshop by the way👍 Some of my .357mag cast...
  4. Brno or Baikal? This one's a Marocchi Finn Classic 512, (.308/ 12g ) There's a bit on here re combi guns, just use the seach, thread on the Stalking Directory too.👍
  5. Yes stunning, probably horrible to work though. If you Google it theres loads of pics. Ive dismantled and felled a few and can honestly say they are the spawntrees of the Devil! If you have the time, space and energy then maybe seasoned timber is ok but not worth messing with. Just my 2p worth....
  6. I think I got hooked on it😂 Know what you mean tho, smell can be a powerful sense, I can vividly remember sniffing peanut butter for the first time 40 years ago!
  7. Chin up chap, bit of a shock I know. Don't worry things will work out, stay positive.👍Change is good (and normal)
  8. Prob 5 years since I went, all the same demos, expensive, car boot feel to it. Unless you have a specific goal give it a miss and go shooting instead👍
  9. Hi all. Wanted; Marocchi 412/512 (finn classic) shotgun. Thanks.
  10. Just get yourself some Avon 'skinsosoft' and a face veil...should be fine in October.
  11. Nice bit of luck, well done. Keep on em👍
  12. Bugg*#........................................................too late.....If only I was closer!
  13. Food for thought.. Ive always topped up the white bits on my deeks, it certainly can't hurt. Its cheap and only takes minutes to do so why not?
  14. 👍totally agree....
  15. Thanks cookoff, will be used for practical shotgun, plinking, and target. Pm sent.
  16. Honest answer, probably not, but I like to do stuff myself. I get a lot of satisfaction from knowing I have made my own ammo. I'm not new to reloading but lack experience with shotshell/slug. .38sp/.357, .243, 6.5x55 all loaded safely and successfully so I would like to try 12g slug, just need some pointers, thanks.
  17. Thanks cookoff13, understood. which slug / powder combination would you suggest for accuracy thanks. I already cast for .357 Are the lee slug moulds any good? I have plenty of pure lead. (I've heard you are the chap to ask) Thanks, MM.
  18. Thanks Vince, waiting on cervoslugs + primed hulls to start reloading with. Fixed 1/2 choke so the main variable factor will be powder weight, can I load the same as centre fire ie start load then work up? Cheers.
  19. Yes..FAC, conditioned for range AND aolq, open ticket. I value my fac + shotgun cert too much to risk losing. Thank you for your concern.👍 Now back to the matter in hand, does anyone have suggestions /tips /recipes ta.
  20. Sounds like you had a top day out.👍 Thanks for sharing.
  21. Can't wait, I'm drooling. What are you going to eat tho?😂 Bon appietit mon ami.....
  22. What time are we eating? 🥂😂👍🍷 Looks bootiful...
  23. I am planning on reloading 12g solid slug for my combination gun. The components I already have/will have; Fiocci 70mm hulls (once fired need repriming) Cervo slugs (barrel is 1/2choke, fixed) Unique, Blue dot, 2400 (already have these) Does anyone have recipes for these components please? Are there any suppliers other than F.E.S. Buck&Slug? any helpful advise happily received. I already reload for various calibres but have no experience with shotshell reloading. Can I roll crimp a previously star crimped case? Which is best, roll or star crimp? Would I be better off buying primed cases? I am aware of the issues of firing other designs of solid slug through a 1/2 choke hence the cervo slug. Thanks, MM.
