Went and sat in the land rover near our pond tonight and counted 165 ducks coming in within just over an hour, roll on Saturday night.

Wingate, that's around 7 mile east of Durham.

I bet that land will take some cleaning up with all of the lead lying around.

don't blow a gasket bonny lad, I think if it had been an emergency he would have been parked outside the shop and not half way across the car park.

I shoot them because I enjoy it too, we release game on our shoot so it's helping to protect them, ultimately it's because I like shooting them.

All too common unfortunately

Went to Asda the other day and the car park was chocker, just had to take a photo of this clowns ignorant parking, wasn't an emergency either, he was just strolling into the shop when I saw him, I wonder if they have to do an intensive course to learn these skills ?

32 6 clear pigeon is what I always use, never had any bother from them.

My first gun was a Biakal O/U, paid 80 quid for it and it did as well any of the other "expensive" guns on the shoot, wish I hadn't sold it now :(

I have always used veg oil in my Land Rovers, more diesel than oil in the colder weather though, never had any problems once the crud had cleared from the lines (veg oil cleans out the fuel lines so change the filter after the first couple of tanks and you should have no more bother with clogging)I stopped using it when veg oil became more expensive than diesel. As for declaring it to the tax man, don't bother, just wait until you are dipped and tell them it's the first time you have used it and it's just an experiment. I used to do a fair bit of offroading and old diesel engines can run on almost anything from heating oil to used chippy oil (wouldnt recommend this as it's full of salts and other nasties to damage your car), one bloke even used to add some of their lasses pot pouri oils to stop it smelling so bad

I know this has nothing to do with shooting but Aldi have a nice lightweight folding camp bed for 20 quid, I just got one today and it's a cracker, any of you that goes camping or overnight fishing they're worth a look.

And our "sport" isn't cruel at all ? If people want to spend thousands and thousands buying and training horses then kill them in a race then that's their "sport".

I've been there myself mate, awful awful place to be, took me the best part of a year to get back into work, no thanks to the job centres etc, I agree with J@mes, the training they put you on is not worth a light, anyone wanting to employ tradesmen has got hundreds of skilled ones to choose from, best of luck though mate I hope things work out for you.
