  1. Both Mrs D and I donate, she has been donating for years I am a relative noob only up to about 11 times so far. Now I have started I don't know why I didn't start sooner, and I don't know why anyone who can donate, doesn't.
  2. Because I like my neck to be warm I bought a new thermal base layer from Decathlon this week to try out. I was out beating all day yesterday in the sun bit with a biting wind for the first few hours, and then back out in the snow today dog walking. All I can say is for 9 quid it is a bargain. It's very warm and has a kind of thin waffled fleece lining, I just had a shirt and jacket on (my top half) and toasty warm.
  3. Does that motor not need a bit of running in? Just wondering if it is still a little tight that is all.
  4. I think that is where my original picture came from
  5. Wise words, this is why when we visit Scotland we drink where we stay. Having said that, you don't really need to be told, you should be able to work this out for yourself
  6. LS - he says it is most likely a custom job, but have a look at Volterra it is pretty close.
  7. The type of themal you chose is determined by the amount of activity you expect to doing. I have super thick 'Snowboard' top from Decathlon for static (i.e. high seat) thermals that I would wear sat still for hours, I would never wear them if I was one the move all day long, for that I wear my HH Lifa setup. I have no problem with the cost of the HH stuff, I bought it in a sale at least ten years ago and it still going strong and works perfectly. I don't have any but I have heard the Musto stuff is just as good.

    Ditchman.

Exactly. regardless of how popular or unpopular members are I still, after all these years, find the "I'm off" posts a bit weird. As the OP's original post has now been derailed, this can be closed off.
  9. So strip down to your underwear, remove one layer and then get dressed again?
  10. Context is the key. LS can you be more specific about which specific font you are referring to? There are quite a few in that link. I know a font designer, so may be able to help.
  11. It wouldn't slide with those tyres, bit if you changed them there is probably a class in Dirt Quake you could enter with that
  12. I had an oversized PES on my .223 originally and it was no where near as quiet as it is now with an ASE Utra which is about a 1/3rd of the size. My advice would be whatever you get, go for calibre specific
  13. Are you knock kneed by any chance?
  14. They get criticised for not being very breathable, but I guess that depends on how much and how fast you move and how much you sweat I have a Ridgeline Pintail that I wear almost year round for stalking, and don't have a problem with it unless I am dragging a long way on a warm day, which is only to be expected.
  15. You can have a full licence without having ever ridden a bike, so for experience alone it could be worth taking the cbt
  16. That's a good shout, Pinterest is another good source for inspiration As always, it seems you are not alone https://www.pinterest.co.uk/search/pins/?rs=ac&len=2&q=puch maxi custom&eq=puch maxi&etslf=8921&term_meta[]=puch|autocomplete|undefined&term_meta[]=maxi|autocomplete|undefined&term_meta[]=custom|autocomplete|undefined
  17. A lot of the Honda Cubs I have seen have a bar stool sort of seat if you know what I mean? That might work here.
  18. I agree that seat doesn't look quite right, needs to be much smaller than that. I have to opposite problem, just 'finished' a cafe racer build and the seat looks too small proportionally.
  19. Honda cubs are a very popular base for resto or custom builds these days. It makes me smile at custom bike meets where people flock to look at them walking past multi thousand pound pro built bikes.
  20. The brown one No idea myself to be honest I am sure someone more helpful will be along shortly.
  21. Does this help? http://www.keymetalsinc.com/tool_steel_comparison.html
  22. I shot some kitchen worktop years ago at various ranges with a subsonic .22lr (yes it was a quiet day in the field) I was surprised at the range that the round would penetrate with ease. It was a long time ago but from memory I got out 75 yards before I got bored. Handy information if you hunt worktops. The pictures are on here somewhere.
  23. This? https://dpac.uk.net/2013/04/what-people-need-to-know-about-atos-assessments/
  24. That should be basis for a 'sweet scoot' as they seem to say, now make sure you keep the updates and pictures coming
