  1. I know it wouldn't be identical to shooting a live animal it was more out of interest and I wanna play with something different Also was wondering where I would get the gelatin in big quantities from, I had a look on the bay but I haven't had time for a real look yet.
  2. There is videos on youtube on how to make it, looks simple enough, just wondered if it was worth it?
  3. I was just wondering if anyone on here has tried or used ballistic gel to see how their bullets perform? I fancy making some and trying my home loads out and seeing how they perform at different ranges etc.
  4. Well done, looks like you had a great time.
  5. "can I keep that up..................no" nice video and good to see you on the trigger FB. ATB Aister.
  6. I have 57 140gr a-max bullets which I have been trying in my 6.5x55 but had no luck at all. Sportsman has them priced at £38 per hundred plus postage, anyone wanting to try them without buying a whole box can have them for £15 posted. Paypal preferred.
  7. That's a smart looking smoke pole
  8. Excellent, its a great feeling dropping your first, well done :-)
  9. I had a friend who had an SX3 the same as mine and with half choke and 3" BB's it threw a beautiful pattern at 50 yards but my SX3 with half choke and the same shells was terrible. You really need to try your own gun/shell combo so you know what it is doing.
  10. My one is among those to be recalled but I fitted a timney trigger kit to my reminton 700 BDL soon after I got it so I cant see that mine has to go back. Somebody correct me if I am wrong
  11. I knew underdogs ears would ***** up at the mention of such a calibre haha
  12. I have this lamp which I use mostly on my .22 but also occasionally on my .223. A bit over your budget but one I would recommend http://www.uttings.co.uk/p109170-tracer-tri-star-pro-gunlight-light-only-gl2950/?gclid=CKS9s7Wx1L0CFdShtAod1G0Asw#.U0XApvldX3M
  13. If you are asking me, they are warne mounts.
  14. I got mine from Australia from these guys. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CNC-Machined-Tikka-T3-Bolt-Shroud-and-Knob-Kit-Black-Anodized-/281306592438?pt=AU_Hunting&hash=item417f2df4b6
  15. I have just fitted an over sized bolt handle and alu shroud to my tikka and love it. I was a bit hesitant at first but really like the feel of it. The last time I was down on the mainland stalking it was chucking it down and when I went to reload quickly after the shot I found the tikka bolt handle quite slippy but hopefully that wont be too much of a problem now.
  16. Well done, the buck looks good. Any info on that very smart looking rifle?
  17. Excellent, I love the smile on the lads face, it says it all. Well done the pair of you
  18. Glad to hear you are still shooting a bit, keep at it and all the best
  19. I am having my 30-06 screw and looking at moderators and the roedale ultralight has caught my eye because of its size and weight. I have ase utras on my 223 and swede but was looking for something lighter for the 06. Anyone using a roedale?
  20. Yes it could be that, its worth trying them again. I know that I always had thumb nail sized groups at 60 yards then when the box design changed the last time my groups opened up to over 2 inch.
  21. I like my ase utra as it is not too big and bulky.
  22. Smart looking guns Mike, can you give me any info on the ammo you used in the 223?
