  1. I have never seen so many roadside apple trees full of fruit. Sign of a good summer and who knows for winter.
  2. They are all in leeds city center, was there last night and there were hunderds trying to roost but geting scared by all the music and parade going on!
  3. Bargain, if i didnt allready own one i would have that in a heartbeat!
  4. Was it eley that did the maximum waterproof? Dont know how they were as im sure it was a standard crimp and not sealed up!
  5. Time to start digging a hole in the back garden then.
  6. I used some aa ones from maplin and they are pretty good, used vapex and ikea ones too, the only ones that were not great were from aldi even though they get good reviews.
  7. If you can find old reclaimed birch ply it is far better quality than modern stuff which is full of voids even the best stuff! The other problem with modern ply is the overlap of veneers makes it look ****. If i had any more old stuff You could have it, it was 20 year old ply and was stupid heavy and really strong with no flaws. I think its possible to make your own laminate with a bit of vac gluing it could work. One day i will try it!
  8. So if i wanted my own insurance say on my other halfs car i could not do it because i do not own it? Sounds like they just after trying it on at every possibility which is not like insurance companys.......
  9. Results? Is it worth cracking into now? Got a party to go to next wekend so might take some along, had another 4 bottles explode so only got 12l of the original 25l brew. Or is everyone dead from the turbo brew!
  10. There was something to do with power lines too if i remember correctly.
  11. Thanks for the pictures it makes alot more sense now, it looks like i need to make up a handle and some form of lock to give me forward and reverse. The gears are there for that but it looks like all the gears to give cutting threads are all lost. Do you know if there is a general gear setup for autofeed when not screwcutting just to feed the tool along the bar being turned down?
  12. I think it should look something like this allthough I am thinking of keeping the newer box so my fingers dont get mangled!
  13. The box with the cap heads is a later addition, the original head that i think i have is a all open type with brass or bronze bearings. Its a bit of a mashup but i think it can be brought back to life!
  14. I have the tailstock, its off being cleaned and oiled up! The maker is a enigma dont know if they just didn't last long and went bust but there is nothing about the maker on the net apart from the address still existing allthough it looks like its apartments now! It looks like a design that was fairly universal round the 1900s so its quite old but its nice and tight everywhere and if i can get it going it will be a nice bit of kit. I have the motor and a few other bits, apart from the gears i am missing the legs but going to get it working and worry about that later.
  15. For better or worse I have bought a lathe or most of a lathe! Its missing a few bits and needs some gears to get the auto feed working and its a odd bore so thats going to be fun finding those! The head is a later addition and there is some odd gear setup that just locks up when meshed so think that needs ripping out. Spent today stripping it down and un seizing everything and sanding the rust off the bed and its come on nicely allready.
  16. You need to get this guy in to have a chat with them.
  17. Reading a woodland trust mag the other half gets and found this, I suppose it is getting to magic mushroom time of the year.
  18. If you do not find a buyer and want to split then i am looking for wartime issue in sg if you have any.
  19. I have mine on wifi, just searched for network and entered the network password and it worked! Good to know i wont be playing pick up the soap just yet!
  20. I bought a kodi android box and seem to be watching stuff on it more than i thought, i know a few people have these so do i need to use a vpn or is it ok for the odd film now and then?
  21. Thanks gents that makes more sense, never thought about burn rate and stock fitment. I just took it as x amount of weight being thrown down a barrel should give the same result.
  22. I thought that but had a look at the eley site and they claim the 12 is going about 200fps more than the 410 but my only thought might be that given the super slow fourlongs it could be that the trap is slow too but it seems to dust clays and my lead is the same as with the 12.
  23. I am sure its been done before but cannot find it so here we go, I shot 19g through the 410 and theres virtually no recoil even with a light single barrel and then went over to the 12g and shot 21g and the recoil is really noticeable but only a 2g increase in weight so the question is why?
