  1. Can beginners come and have a go at this if theres another one? Never done any psg but it looks fun!
  2. Thats a serious collection, if only I have the money! If you dont find a buyer then I can reccomend putting them in the holts auctions, recently people have been paying silly money for cartridges.

Mine switch over from low lux to full colour when the lights come on in about a second. On another note if you have euro cylinders on your door have you got snap off cylinders in them?
  4. If your going to the effort of taking out the charge circuit then rip it all out and put led tube in and direct wire, job done!

I was in cef today and they do a floodlight with a covert camera built in, not cheap but only you would know its a camera and you get a floodlight too! Its going to be difficult to get a good image with a white van and a black car the exposure will have to be set to one or the other or invest in some extra illuminators/ floodlighting.

I would go down one of two routes, firstly get a pro in and spend alot and get a decent setup without the hassle or the "yorkshire" way is to buy a cheap setup and install yourself. I can reccomend a cheap ahd 4 channel set off the bay which is around £55 for the dvr, two cameras and leads. Its stupid cheap but one has been working for the last year with no issues for me, you do have to put a hard drive in it but its real easy to do and ahd cameras are as cheap as £15 if you look around. Its only 720p but its far better than a sd setup and at night its better than 1080p ip cameras. Most go under the flourion brand. You may need to add extra ir illuminators depending on the light you have around the house but if its close to a decent pir floodlight it makes a world of difference having colour cctv at night. I would mirror whats been said above that a wide cover camera will never give good results zoomed in even if you go down the mega expensive 5mp plus camera. A second camera where someone has to come in is a good idea and better if it can be done covert so they walk right upto it and dont see it then you get a great mugshot!
  7. A unloaded pcp workes well on them and you dont have to explain the holes in the roof from the no9 shot!
  8. Gave it its first proper run yesterday and found some teathing issues, Once the oil is warm I think the intake hose is deforming restricting the flow reducing the output or once soft the hose is leaking letting air in and causing above problem The engine still is not right, starts and runs but will stall suddenly under load well below what it used to so going to have to investigate that but it could be quite a few things. First noticed this when testing the log splitter, it was stalling suddenly and would not split logs that I split the same ones the other month. Apart from that the trailer is hooked up and it brought some muck into the garden without me having to carry it so that was a bonus!
  9. Would quite like some snow so I can get a plow built for it.
  10. Much work on other things unfortunately but i did get a couple of hours to knock up a little trailer. In other news i got the lower output hydraulic pump, fitted it and it was way too slow so the original pump is back on. Did a bit of work on the rear as the backhoe was bending the chassis!
  11. Just looking at crossbows for a bit of fun and came across this thing, legal but for how long? Can even be delivered to your door! http://www.outdoorhobbies.co.uk/benjamin-pioneer-airbow-scope-package-free-target-4997-p.asp
  12. It works not that i have seen the kit but the latest cameras in cctv land have come on leaps in the last few years.
  13. Only seen one new one thats north of sheff, details on kirklees guns front page, http://www.kirklees-guns.co.uk
  14. Uk law keeping us safe..........
  15. I got a new phone from ee the other day £12.99, this one needs a re wire and a paint. 400k no thanks.
  16. Could one of the mods delete this thread? It keeps cropping up every few months and I have to sum up how much i really need that second kidney.......... I love my lever action air rifle and the shotgun equivalent would finish my collection off nicely. PS anybody need a kidney, going cheap!
  17. Only thing i can think of is if there was still some contaminants in there from the fluxing or could there be some zinc in the mix?
  18. Big daddy puts some melon zombies in there place, funny though the birdshot totally blows them apart and the "double ought" just blows a hole through them!
  19. I like the rednecks, they do it so we don't have to! The bullet in a .410 is a really good watch!
  20. I think deershooter said the last batch of stainless bolts were really hard and had issues drilling them, might be a odd batch kicking around. Or i could have dreamt it! I like cobalt drill bits but snap the smaller ones like there going out of fashion.......
  21. Thninking about this how would you weld the plug with a mig if the plug is way down in the chamber? A 2mm arc rod might be better but the angle is still **** for a good weld. Looks like about 10 mins work once the plug is sized.
  22. Shes away this week and i think i could do a video of it driving into the kitchen to wind her up
  23. Still got lotsof little bits to finish off but its coming together and it runs and drives like a dream, crazy amounts of torque and not too fast. Still thinking on paint colours, i did buy some kubota orange but kind of liking the more subtle primer colours. Trailer, leaf sweeper, ground ripper, backhoe and log splitter to follow.......
  24. Got some goodies in the post this week so had a bit of time to get this thing somewhere near finished, new hoses and some new front wheels as the old ones were too wide and did not steer! Also got the proper steering box on, from a merc! Found some track rod ends from a go cart place that were perfect as all the car ones are just too big and they work perfectly.
  25. Clay cartridges are mostly more expensive when reloading but if you can make your own shot it brings the costs down a bit, dont know how the costing works out now that clay carts have gone up in price. It is quite fun reloading and very satisfying smashing clays with your own shot!
