  1. Hes luck the bullet went before tha batterys or he would not be here today.
  2. I have been using a pump on mine for the last 5 years and recently stripped it down and you know what? No corrosion internally whatsoever. I have never used a dri pack. The pump can corrode on the fittings at the pump end i think down to thats where some moisture can build up and when you vent the pump it causes moisture to form because of the rapid decompression.
  3. Whos got the kahoonies to show up with a revo tactical with one of those shell holders on the side and whatever other military bling you can get for them? I shoot mostly random guns and never care what other people think.
  4. Trousers arrived this morning, thanks for the speedy service.
  5. Kranks, the bradford massive were on a day trip.
  6. Amateur you sir are a genius! Its been bugging me all weekend how this last bit goes together and i think you have just solved it!
  7. I dont normally frequent my local rfd on a weekend as it can be really busy but called in to grab something i needed and the customer infront was looking for a bb pistol to shoot indoors and didnt seem to be the sharpest tool in the box and was not interested being told about backstops and then 2 real nice guys came in to collect air rifles and the one with the hatsan that needed a gunsmith to setup the scope got a right pasting for bringing it in cocked and loaded! Of course it was not his fault as he just bought it off some guy then bought it in allegedly....... Then he went on to tell his mate he had a pile of junk as someone had tried to up the power and made a right mess of it. The joys of tracksuit wearing baseball capped yoofs!
  8. Allways liked the more square version, the newer ones looked like they were melting! I would have the landrover in the background though!
  9. Its just so i can work on it off the ground, once its running I will fire up the welder and fab a steel frame for it, my knees are shot so crawling around on the floor is not a good idea these days!
  10. Could you measure the inside leg on the mtp trousers for me? If there over 30" i will have them!
  11. I would say depends on how fit you are or are willing to get. Its high and hard work even with people carring all your kit so if you go make sure you have good worn in boots and are fit or it will be hell.
  12. This is what im getting at with the pulley wheels if its mounted in this direction the pulleys are equal and it wont fit the other way as the main wheel will foul the chuck.
  13. Sorry there has been radio silence for a while, had some other things to do before being allowed to play! Not done much else recently apart from build it a stand so i can work on it off the floor and put back all the freed up parts and so far everything is working and moving. So today i had a look at the electrics and its a bit scary. Old wiring scares me so went carefully and gave the motor and switch box a quick once over and it all looked ok apart from a wire on the motor has corroded away so re connected the wire back up and powered it up and the motor burst into life! The switch box has a forward and reverse but they both turn the motor in the same direction so something is amiss in there but the motor runs nice and quiet. So next up is a full rewire and test of the switchgear. I am also stuck on how to drive the lathe, i can direct connect to motor which is supposed to be rated at 425 rpm but it looks fast to me but i will get 6 speeds out of it direct, the other option is to hook up the other pulley block i got with itand run it with many many gear options! The only problem is i presume the pulley wheels should be set opposing big to small and the way it looks like i can set it up the gears will be equal. If i get a chance im going to have a look closer and see if i can swap the pulley wheels round and this will solve the problem. I also did some reading and managed to free the gears in the main box so they do not jam anymore and learnt about bull gears!
  14. Doubt you could get below .75 which is fine, the draw is minimal apart from the startup jolt.
  15. I once hit a crow on the a1 in a white car and it exploded on the bonnet and had to drive another 30 miles looking like i had murdered someone.
  16. Im sure there used to be talk of gold in cornwall so there might be a bit in devon, if you Pan some streams you never know what you might find.
  17. My other half put some apps on my phone, i could not get them to work so i just text and well phone people when needed. Im lucky as there is no signal in the house so nobody can bother me at home.
  18. Threats from marksmen, dont you have to be far away to be a marksman so how do you threaten from a long distance? Or do you go up to her and go boo im a marksman?
  19. Its sealed bid so why leave it to the last min? I just stick my bids in a week beforehand, there was a nice gun with a broken ejector went for about £35 and is a solid £400 gun after a cheap fix! Theres the odd allright deal but never had a bargain there.
