  1. Ahahahaha, you're obviously not as old as your username would suggest!!!! I remember the Hammer's glory days and have been a fan for as long if not longer, where were United then? What goes around comes around, West ham will be there to trouble you again and not just as a bogey team that you struggled to beat, and Man Utd's flame will inevitably dwindle in due course...think I'm talking tosh? Take a look at Spurs and City's current revival. ...and on the bright side, I don't need a second mortgage to buy a season ticket to watch a match...assuming I can fight my way past the corporate 'fans'.
  2. So who do you support now then if you were Man Utd? I also like the way that they are so good they are not even worthy of capitalisation. Yeah yeah I know, pedantic, but I support a proper foot ball club, the mighty West Ham and I really don't give a XXXX!
  3. If that fails, then just send it back to AirArms. I let them do all the work on my S400, they are relatively local which helps but you can post airguns if you wish, and I know it's been done right then.
  4. You should be fine on biodiesel but it probabaly won't like veg oil much. The rule of thumb is common rail = biodiesel, Direct injection = veg oil or biodiesel.
  5. Similar, I have a conviction for a assault from when I was in my 20's (20 years ago I lamped a bloke for feeling up the GF in a pub while stood next to me), anyway, I received a SGC along with a letter reminding me that it cold be revoked if I misbehaved, so if they'll give me a cert with that in my past then a caution really shouldn't be a problem.

    unbelievable

Darwin Award candidates, each and every one of them!
  7. The RSPB site is good, but what I'm really after is something that shows the ducks and differentiates the markings. Wing and head markings being particularly relevant. I'm not too bad at calls, but it's the hen birds that I'm really not good on...and I have a test on identification in a week!
  8. I need to get up to speed on my identification of duck and geese. Anyone got any sites or links to really good pictorial images that clearly show the marking of both drake and hen birds? Thanks.
  9. Can you not buy it on a card and get someone to collect it? People would probably be happier with that than buying the gun for you to reimburse them on delivery?
  10. 4x4 should mean a 4wd, off road capable machine. In that I'm think Land Rovers, Shoguns etc. 4wd/AWD is a road vehicle with an AWD set up be it part or full time. At least that's the way it's supposed to work or so I'm led to believe.
  11. An internet forum relies on the written word, the more you write, the more people will understand exactly what it is and why you are asking. When you just bluntly ask a question it makes people wary, when you are no more forthcoming when asked about it then you get peoples backs up. If you are a little more conversational then you will get a more positive response, from your current postings you've got me looking at you negatively. Edit: Bar the last one, hadn't seen that when I posted!
  12. I too buy it, once again it's not the heaviest of reading but that's fine, if I want in depth there's plenty on the web or I could even buy a book! It's only £2.30 I think, so hardly a budget buster either, decent value in my opinion.
  13. From the Bayer website... ...one can conclude that Advocate® was highly effective in prevention of heartworm disease. The efficacy was not diminished when dogs were shampooed and rinsed with water, 4 hours post-treatment. In addition, water exposure, as may occur with swimming or heavy rainfall, 60 minutes post-treatment or with multiple exposure beginning one-day post treatment did not reduce efficacy Anyway, to important things...I can't see/read your avatar properly, so I think you should probably post it up somewhere!
  14. What do you want it for? Does your budget need to include scope and a means of air filling? More info required before we can even start discussing the merits of new or secondhand, pump or bottle or God forbid .177 or .22!
  15. I know the feeling, I've missed some real sitters this year! Having said that I'm now back on the clay ground and it appears that I may be developing Indeterminate eye dominance, particularly in poor light conditions or when tired! That may explain some of it then!
  16. Just done a rough calculation assuming 30mpg and fuel at 1.42 a litre (which is what my costs would be), and that's £906.42, or to put it another way, £16.48 a bird! That's before you look at carts, food/drink etc! When you break it down like that you start to wonder if you're right in the head! But, like you, I'll be on the marsh again next September!
  17. When shooting HFT you have various different stances that you must shoot (prone, kneeling, stood) and without bipods/sticks etc although you can still brace against a natural object if you have one handy. It's good fun and a test. When hunting though I see it differently, then it's imperative that it's a spot on shot and to achieve that I nearly always use a rest of some sort. It's the only way to achieve consistent pinpoint accuracy for me....although not with a shottie generally.
  18. Decent looking stockie that, a good time of year to be catching them too. Good and lively in the cold water! I really must get back out in the next week or so!
  19. Are the rest of your posts as forthcoming and friendly in tone as well?
  20. You'd blinkin' well hope so at that price! 'That price' may well be very fair, I have no idea what a Snap-On mugs value is...other than it would appear to be more than I'd pay.
  21. You have a flow switch mate, the Isar uses a different system.
  22. Sorry mate, no they don't. 'Best practice' requires that, but to achieve compliance it's only the bedroom rads. As for the cylinders, once again, it's not a current requirement so there is no need to change any cylinder, if it's an old unlagged cylinder you'd recommend it but it's not a requirement. The 150m2 rule is a decent size property fella. I've not seen it required in much under a 4 bedroom house if I'm honest.
  23. YES!!! There is still the chance of shooting fame and glory for me then! WOOHOO!!!
  24. Two 'multiple fractured legs' close apparently!
