  1. Ok, package has now been sold complete, thanks for your interest.
  2. In no particular order: The Matrix (ideally the trilogy but will start at the first if I must!) Men in Black, just makes me smile every time Silence of the Lambs, such a clever film.
  3. It wasn't intended to be disparaging, I was genuinely surprised by what it was worth. It still amazes me that they fetch as much as they do when they are a very basic utilitarian vehicle. At that age it's probably worth more than an equivalent Range Rover, are you going to tell me it's more car for your money? Anyway it's ... Nice one, I'm glad you sold it fairly easily. LOL, yeah, because you never have to do any welding on a Defender do you.
  4. Taken from the online version of the Highway Code, specifically Rule 268... 268 Do not overtake on the left or move to a lane on your left to overtake. In congested conditions, where adjacent lanes of traffic are moving at similar speeds, traffic in left-hand lanes may sometimes be moving faster than traffic to the right. In these conditions you may keep up with the traffic in your lane even if this means passing traffic in the lane to your right. Do not weave in and out of lanes to overtake. As I read that, I'd say, on a quiet motorway you would stand a chance of a nick if you undertake. It appears to only be acceptable if the motorway's congested etc. In reality, I'd undertake him.
  5. The bottle was retested in June so has 19 months-ish of test left on it, I'm planning to sell it as a package and have a couple of people interested at the moment, if it doesn't sell with the gun I'll let you know.
  6. You must be doing an awful of shooting mate to empty a PCP, my Air Arms will give me 80+ good shots, I've never needed more on one trip!
  7. “When you are courting a nice girl an hour seems like a second. When you sit on a red-hot cinder a second seems like an hour. That's relativity.” ― Albert Einstein
  8. That's for ironic effect...surely?
  9. F*%~ing hellfire!!! £50k for a MkII Escort!!!Jesus H Christ on a bike! I had an RS1800 years ago, flogged it for £1500, thought I'd done well getting that at the time!!!!
  10. Can't disagree with that sentiment...I really must get a lesson booked with her at some point!
  11. Anyone used one? Good experiences...or those to avoid like the plague!
  12. Google sponsored link or pay-per-click listing. Either will get you well up the ratings and for a lot of people the internet is the default place to look for anything!!!
  13. He's right mate, there's more like £14.00 worth there, especially in that condition.
  14. PLEASE NOTE, the gun now includes an AGS 3-9x40 scope with illuminated reticle, it's a good, clear scope, perfect for hunting, good for targets.
  15. It will not be free. The RSPCA charge for their dogs, my Ridgeback X was a 16 week old dog and cost us £78 IIRC. If it's been rehomed once, in my opinion, you should leave it to be rehomed with a family who want it and are unlikely to reject it again, as a pet it is unlikely to "not be up to scratch" and one thing a young dog needs is stability. If you want a working dog then as said already, approach gundog breeders and get a puppy or possibly part trained, you've more chance of success then.
  16. Err, no I don't mate. I have PM'd you my email addy.
  17. This air rifle is mine, please feel free to PM me with any queries or ask here, thanks.
  18. Errr, it was two wasn't it? He should be in hospital!!!
  19. That's impressive! Would have liked to see the landing though.
  20. 8 grand for a year 2000 Defender? Is that what they're worth? Well that's off the shopping list! Christ I could buy three Disco's for that!
  21. The problem is that it would be extremely difficult and, in order to get good enough to consistently head shoot pigeons would require a LOT of practice. That practice would have to involve missing a lot too and injuring birds, that's why it is unacceptable and wold give the sport a bad name. Wounding is not a good option. We all strive to kill cleanly and indeed should do so, we have to accept that occasional wounding is going to happen but you should try to minimise it. In this case it would mean not shooting at flying birds. I recently started a thread about a similar issue and got caned on it by a couple of people who were...rather extreme in their views, but the difference was I was trying to find out why and how to reduce the probability AND I am using the right tool for the job.
  22. Didn't realise we had a TV star among us! Liked the vid on mudpattens particularly.
