Not being rude, and this is a genuine question. Moleskin trousers, timeless class or 'Dad' trousers, I can't quite decide?

David Cameron is to pledge to boost the "right to buy" scheme

The main cost generally is the land. The services etc are a factor but not that huge to be honest, and the build costs are surprisingly low when you are building a small estate. Here, which is about 40 miles south of London on one of the main commuter arteries into the city, I was recently involved on a new build. I asked what the build costs were on the houses we were doing, including the land and services the properties were costing £180k to build... ...asking price? £650,000  -
You need to get back out exercising dude. Not only will it get you back in the shape but it's also proven to help the mental state, so will help you fight the depression.

You quite obviously have little experience of Social Housing. Yes there are the scroungers, but they are in the minority. I live in a Housing Association property, most of my neighbours are working, both my partner and I have worked all our lives, however, she works in the NHS and as such earns little, I'm in the building trades and while I do OK it's not enough for us to buy the 4 bedroom house we need. Net result is we are not going anywhere in the near future. If however we are offered the opportunity to get a foot on the ladder we will do so and it wouldn't affect you one jot my friend. As for £100k+ to build a replacement house, where the **** do you live, Chelsea? -
It sounds as though you may be getting oil/fuel into the intercooler, somewhere in my distant memory I recall something about diesel getting past the rings and diluting the oil which then gets sucked up through the crankcase breather pipe (it feeds vapours from the crankcase into the intake to cut down on emissions) into the air intake. First thing I'd look at would be an oil change, and if the oil is very thin and 'diesely' (I think I just made that word up!) then maybe a compression test would give you the info you need. Edit: OK, a little more Googling has thrown the following up, quoted from an article by Glencoyne Engineering (article in full HERE ) ... 2495cc turbodiesel, overhead valve, type 19J: Given the strength and reliability of the 2.5 diesel, you can understand why Land Rover thought it would cope with turbocharging, but the result was a warranty nightmare. 2.5TDs can fail in any number of ways, but the most common seems to be internal cracks developing in the cylinder block. This gives the same symptoms as a blown head gasket or cracked cylinder head, but is not repairable. Due to a defective design of crankcase breather, these engines also tend to dump large amounts of engine oil into the air filter housing, which turns the paper air filter into a soggy black lump. This in turn leads to oil being drawn into the air intake, causing the engine to 'run away' and self-destruct.

Handbags at dawn mate, AKA as willy waving. You know the thing - my shoots bigger than yours, my guns more expensive than yours, my friends are better bred than yours, my dads bigger than yours etc etc.

They do, but not at £395! It obviously depends on condition but more like £500 is more usual! If it fits and seems a good one then go for it, I have one and use it on clays every week and the odd spot of 'fowling, never a problem yet.

She'd get more than a finger I can tell you!

Not totally accurate, we SAW some Teal and Wigeon, well, I say saw, they were more like sparrows they were that high!! Was worth going down for the comedy double act that masqueraded as mentors though, those two should be on stage!!! -
So, care to explain the Mythbusters clips results? As I understood it, the velocity of the fired bullet and resultant horizontal resistance will only slow its horizontal velocity. Gravity will still pull them down at equal speeds, resulting in them landing together.

Indeed Polos are shootable, never shot through one yet mind! I have done some targets that are a bell behind a plate with a 6mm hole in it, make the bell ring! 4 on the trot is my current best! Have seen 8 done by a top HFT lad though!!

Right ideas but badly put. In the UK it needs to be couched in namby-pamby speak to save offending the natives! It's a minority that can accept that natural predation is necessary and if the balance has been upset (normally by us!) then culling is also necessary! The majority see any killing as cruel, yet still stuff themselves silly on meat without ever realising that most shot animals probably suffer far less than those 'humanely' killed!

Reads even better now.

Now they do look lovely, but if you can just get them to move the decimal point 3 places to the right!!!! Thanks for the tips all, I've now got a couple of names to watch out for.

As per the title really. I'm starting to put my Kenwood stack together again after rearranging the room and deciding my Bose Wave isn't loud enough. I'm thinking of replacing the speakers and am wondering what I should look at? We're talking ebay here, so I'm after something maybe a little older and maybe a bit of an unsung hero so I can try and nab a decent pair of speakers for not a lot of money, thoughts please.

Ya see, it's all in the details, that's why I'd be a rubbish copper!

As said, the heater matrix is leaking a wee bit, keep an eye on your coolant levels until fixed.

Not necessarily always necessary, if the dog's trained it should be easily brought to heel as and when required, and I think most owners know in their heart whether they have full control of their dogs...if not then yes, leash it!

Clue's in the post mate.

Nah, Lab's not ready, it's more interested in the soggy sandwich in the gutter on the other side of the road than it is on you! Not that I have any idea what I am talking about mind you!!! Nice looking dogs fella.

What does your users manual advise?

Proper toy that is, if I had £6600 spare at the moment I'd have it in a flash! No problem fella, good luck selling her.

Does the meat not get tainted in due course, how long between despatch and skinning can it be left?
